The general atmosphere was nice. If you like the modern trend of each plate and table being a little bit different in decoration you’ll also find the interior here appeasing and cute. The menu was modern and formal and the waiter was kind and helpful. We were with a group of 12 and they managed to give us a big table with comfortable seating.
With streetfood, the varying dishes with a ‘twist’ were expected. We did find that there was less variation between the dishes than you would expect from reading the menu. The food was generally good.
Overall the experience would be around a 7,5/10.
We did have one negative experience with the tap water. On the menu it was listed as €0,50, and when we ordered it, it was served in bottles. This led us to believe that it was €0,50 per bottle, which was already strange to charge for tap water. When we received the bill, however, they were charging us per glass. In the end we left paying around €20,- for tap water! This is in our opinion too much. I would rather have them raise the prices of the dishes a little bit, then to charge so much...
Read moreNo offense to the staff, but I have never had food this bad. It felt like a scam, unbelievable that they dare serve dishes like this and charge as if it were real Asian cuisine. I was honestly embarrassed that I chose this place.
We ordered the Seafood Ramen and the Vietnamese Chicken Mie. The Seafood Ramen was completely bland, no salt, no spice. I thought I’d fix it with soy sauce, but to my surprise, there wasn’t any on the table. The only condiments provided were Maggi (a Swiss seasoning??) and Sriracha. And the other reviews are right: the ramen was literally instant noodles, which became obvious when even the seasoning tasted the same, just even more watered down.
The Vietnamese Chicken Mie was no better, overly salty, with chicken that still had skin and even hair on it. It smelled awful and tasted worse.
I honestly don’t understand how this place has good reviews. From what I experienced, the restaurant doesn’t care about serving proper food, does no justice to Asian street food, and has no business...
Read moreI had high hopes visiting Street Food by Han. Perhaps I should have set my expectations lower. We ordered a simple appetiser to share and two mains. After waiting 30 minutes, we checked on our appetizer, which we were told would take another 15 minutes. Checked back again, still nothing. We asked for some casava chips, but the waitress argued with us that the food would be ready soon and didn’t want to bring us the chips. It wasn’t. So we tried to order the chips again after another wait. Over an hour later, our simple appetiser still hadn’t appeared. A total of six dishes emerged from the kitchen in the time that we were there. Not exactly the pace you expect for a restaurant serving street food...
We were hungry, and there was no promise of food in sight, so we cancelled our order, paid for our drinks and left. Frankly, we were quite disappointed with the service...both from the front and...
