Lovely location, but subpar food and very slow service. I would only get drinks here. Service was extremely slow. The food was not anything special. First, we ordered shrimp croquettes. That order was messed up so we waited quite some time before actually receiving them. Then it took ages for us to order our main - people who came later than us ordered before us. It was not extremely busy, so we felt overlooked.

We ordered the tuna steak and rendang French fries. The tuna steak was over cooked. The rendang French fries were tasty. For me, the experience was also ruined because both the salad and rendang came with cucumber which went unmentioned on the menu. I absolutely hate cucumber, so it made the salad inedible and ruined my rendang. Nothing could be done to fix it because the service was so slow and I was unable to talk to a server. When after over an hour somebody finally came to clear our plates, our server told me I should have said something myself and that it was my own responsibility.

Hence, 1 star: 1 for the location, -4 for slow service, subpar food, bad attitude from the staff, and no effort made whatsoever to apologize for the slow service or unpalatable food. I usually only write positive reviews but this was a...

The four stars are for location (on the water, nice outdoor seating, pretty calm atmosphere), and food quality (good flavours, menu had enough options).

The reason I don't give 5 stars is because I haven't loved everything I've tried, but I continue to go for the veggie burger, sweet potato fries, and sticky toffee cake. I'm always happy with those!

Service has improved substantially since opening, so no more complaints there. Prices are reasobale compared to other similar restaurants in Delft. And the serre is a great place to sit when you want the feeling of outdoors but it's indoor weather.

Improvements would be to add some sort of children's options, even if just a smaller version of some of the full size dishes. (Note: today the server was very helpful in modifying a large dish to be child sized, so that's possible!) Also, while I enjoyed the 10uurtje, the slice of white supermarket bread under the "avocado toast" was super sad. That really could have used some love. Like use a slice of good bread, smash the avocado maybe...

In the end, it's a go-to spot for group gatherings and lunches with friends. It...

Came here as the building (a former arsenal) looked nice, but the food & service were a big let-down. Didn't risk the house speciality - steak swimming in gravy (which you are supposed to mop up with half a loaf of white sliced bread) - but went for a chicken burger and a standard burger (€19.50 each - without chips!). Yum yum - a tender chicken breast with a crispy coating and some tasty freshly minced beef! But sadly no - this was undefined chicken served with a sauce which had a skin and which you could hold upside down. The tasteless rubbery beef resembled a piece of grey plastic. When I let the manager know that we were very disappointed, his response was to apologise for the plastic sauce and hand us a bill for the full amount. Putting aside the over-priced and poor quality food, the basic concepts of service seem to be missing in this restaurant - a warm greeting, a follow-up after your food has been delivered to check that everything is OK and, last but not least, understanding and responding to customer feedback. This is probably a nice place to come for a glass of wine, to be followed by a decent meal at...

I had some gift cards for loetje for a long time already. And before the steaks gets even smaller due to inflation it was time to eat here. We went in with low expectations as for me a steak is a quality grilled rib eye. The restaurant looks very nice, love the building. Staff was very friendly and dogs are welcome which is very nice, the barkeeper even promised me a bowl of Vodka for our dog tomorrow. Now the food! Sweet patato fries very nice! Steaks meat was good, not a fan of the jus which was way too salty. Salad pretty good. Overal nice place, Personally I just prefer a good grilled rib eye! Point of attention, the menu card I got handed was sticky and dirty, that can be improved. Value for money I would say no, the piece of meat given for the money is tiny.
