Went here for lunch on a Friday afternoon with colleagues. We sat on the "boat terrace", which is nice on warmer days with views up and down the canal, and also is protected from too much sun or rain by large parasols. The staff is friendly and reasonably attentive, without being too in-your-face. The menu offers a good selection of different items for lunch, and prices are acceptable. I had the Chicken BLT, which was a very generous portion of marinated chicken on thick-cut, tasty toast with (of course) bacon, lettuce and tomato. Tasty, if a bit difficult to eat, as it has too high to really eat as a sandwich. Tablemates had a selection of items, all were well-presented, fresh and tasty.
If you are (very) sensitive to motion, you may prefer to sit on their terrace alongside the restaurant or inside, as the boat does move a good bit whenever someone walks onto or off the "terrace". 😉
To get a fifth star, I think the flavours would need to be a bit more bold, and the presentation a bit more varied (while pretty, everything did look a bit "samey"). Also, the drinks are relatively a bit less value for money than the food, even if...
Read moreWent here on a Sunday afternoon. Even though the terrace wasn't too full, a simple order of a cappuccino, latte macchiato and a cheese panini was apparently too much. After having 2 cappuccino's and latte macchiato's we waited for more than 30 min on the panini. It baffles me such a simple order took that long and I decided to leave.
The staff did inform me that the panini was supposed to be done halfway through.(During the second order) But maybe their communication with the kitchen is just not that great.
All factors aside. When I went to pay I didn't even get an apology for not getting what I ordered. Which that for me showed how much the staff actually cares about their customers.
Go here if you want a coffee and sit outside. Don't expect them to give you your...
Read moreThis restaurant has nice seating and a broad menu, with food I would say is OK. I don't go out of my way to go there, but will choose it when someone needs easy access to parking, for instance. The thing I don't like is that the quality of the food is unpredictable. Sometimes something sounds great on the menu but falls flat in reality. And other times, it's great. So it's hard to know what kind of day you'll get, depending on what you choose.
It's super accessible though and has a decent number of vegetarian options as well, so it's definitely not a bad place to try out. The atmosphere and service...
