Must have been the worst service I've experienced in a restaurant. Only place that topped it was Usine in the light tower. Took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get my plate of tagliatelle (they said it was spaghetti?) in that time nobody came to ask for a drink or to see why the food wasn't there yet. When finally they came to ask if we wanted another drink they didn't even realize that the food wasn't delivered yet. The lady came with a pizza for my friend but it was the wrong one? It took them over one hour to then deliver the wrong pizza?
Then my "spaghetti tagliatelle" came, it said in the menu it was spicy but that was so spicy you couldn't even taste what you were eating. When they had the nerve to asked if everything was OK (because waiting there so long is apparently normal?) I noted that the tagliatelle was way to spicy.
They went to discuss if I could get another meal but because it took them forever to bring the food in the first place, the kitchen already closed.. So they offered a desert which I had to pay for, which never showed up. Also the drinks we ordered never showed up and when we canceled the drinks order, the waiter didn't even remember that he asked us if we wanted something to drink..
So to top the situation off, I did not need to pay for the "tagliatelle spaghetti" according to the waiter. But when the lady came with the recipe, the tagliatelle was still on it?
Waiters excuse was that the sun was shining so he forgot a lot..
The 1 star is for the pizza, because it was...
Read moreI was doubting at first to go here keeping in mind few of the reviews but I will just be frank about it.
Went on a Friday evening, did call before for a reservation and all went good. While walking towards the restaurant, we could see from outside that it's quite crowded. We were sat at the table, the local is very cosy, it has an open-kitchen, you can see the chef making pizza etc. The tables are indeed close between each other but it gives the idea of a real Italian restaurant. It did not disturb us nor it was uncomfortable. People speak, everyone enjoys the food. The service was great and fast, we ordered lasagna and I just loved it. It was so juicy and the tomatoes paste was so fresh, seemed like it was freshly made that day. Good balance of taste and unfortunately we couldn't order more as the quantity is quite big, hopefully next time I would be able to try more dishes as they all...
Read moreThis is my second time going to Martini's. The first time was a few years ago and I really liked the service and atmosphere and hence vowed to come back. Well, this time around, the tables kinda turned. We had a great reception and after that everything was not up to standard. The service was really terrible. Given that there were 14 customers in the restaurant (which is basically 30% of full capacity), the service was terrible. Even some people who came way after us were served first. At some point we had to eat without any napkins or fork and knife because they forgot. The food was okayish, okayish really. Pizza was a little bit burnt. Third time? Ummmh 🤔, yeah I will think about it. The music was nice though. Some mix of Italian and Greek music, playing low on the background which is good for...
