Twist Eindhoven — Restaurant in Eindhoven

My recent experience at Twist Eindhoven left much to be desired. I ordered a cocktail, specifically a Pear Martini, which was supposed to include Absolute Blue (Vodka) as an ingredient. However, it was served to me without the vodka, making it taste excessively sweet. To my surprise, when I brought this to the attention of the server, their response was dismissive: "never mind, next time." This level of customer service was disappointing, to say the least.

Furthermore, I paid €12.5 for what essentially tasted like a syrup-based drink. It's disheartening when you expect a certain quality and taste but receive something far from it.

Additionally, Twist Eindhoven advertises their food menu as renewing and encourages customers to be surprised by the "beautiful dishes of the moment." However, the reality was quite different. The food options were limited, and the portions were notably small, especially considering the high prices. If you're very hungry, I'd strongly advise against going there.

Regrettably, based on this experience, I cannot recommend Twist Eindhoven anymore. It's essential for businesses to prioritize customer satisfaction and uphold the quality they promise, which, unfortunately, I did not experience during my visit.

My drink hasn't been finished until I got the Vodka is serving separately and told the server. So when you hear this you shouldn't say never mind to your costumer. It's better to say we are sorry to make this mistake.

Somehow this little hidden gem had escaped my attention even though I'm sure I must have passed it several times situated between the center and the stadion.

First off, if you're coming by car make use of their private(ish) parking area directly next to the restaurant. We missed it and cost us half a cocktail in parking fees 😜

As for the restaurant itself, we were allround impressed. A large and beautiful display of spirits engulfs the bar promising at least top notch ingredients for the cocktails and they didn't disappoint once mixed. That said, the mocktails certainly were a match for their alcoholic brothers and sisters too. Delicious... and still walking in straight lines after 3 of them.

So, you can't have a cocktail bar which serves great drinks AND great food, right? Wrong! You'd be missing out if you only tried the drinks at this place. Everything on the menu is a sharing dish, which we enjoyed. For starters I recommend the finely sliced Iberico ham which was plentiful and very tasty but every dish we had was very good.

Every chance she gets the owner Meg comes for a quick chat and check up on you. Passionately she'll fill you in on whatever there is to know about their products or even the design choices she made in her very stylish and comfortable restaurant / cocktailbar. Ah Twist, what a lovely experience to say the least. I have enjoyed tapas and cocktails here on several occasions and even brought my children who love getting their fancy on with mocktails made especially for them:) We were served a complimentary sample tapa with our drinks and got to be dazzled right away by the flavor, texture, and presentation Twist has to offer. Excited to begin our culinary adventure, we ordered a few tapas to share and a main course for each of us - the menu has changed so I don’t think everything we had is still available but I was so impressed by the level of attention to detail and the flavor composition in each dish. It was truly a delight for the senses. (I can only hope they bring back the squid-ink risotto one day🙏❤️🙏). The cocktails were colorful, strong, and had a great variety to choose from. If you don’t find a cocktail you like on the menu, they will create something just for you:) The staff and Megan in particular, made my sons feel like little princes and I love that we could do fancy, as a family.
