Yesterday, two men started fighting, and one threw a glass at the other's head. My friend and I were injured by the small pieces that flew away. I got pieces on my face and arm, and my friend got them on her back. She even had a piece in her eye, but luckily, after crying, it came out.
Thomas' security threw the guy out and helped us with our injuries. However, they didn't get his name or call the police because continuing the party was their priority. Of course, they didn't want the police in front of their establishment. But now, from whom do we claim damages? We don't have the name of the aggressor, so should we claim damages from Thomas for not getting the aggressor's name and not calling the police?
Instead of reporting the guy, they were more concerned that I was eating French fries from another establishment inside their premises. They made me go outside to eat them. I was eating them because my blood pressure went down, and I was almost fainting. Even though they have food there, they only gave me some dry bread. That's why a friend bought the fries from across the street. What would have changed for them if they let me eat the fries quietly in the corner? They couldn't make a small exception for someone whose night was ruined and who had wounds and low blood pressure. They needed to make sure I ate the fries outside, but they didn't need to make sure the aggressor faced legal consequences for what he did. So sure, just let him go.
It's unbelievable how little they cared. They only assisted us with the injuries because they knew they would be in trouble if they didn't. I hope at least the guy with the big injury on his head was better treated.
In summary, don't go there if you don't want to come home like I did. I'm really shaken by the fact that we could have been seriously injured if big pieces of glass had...
Read moreThomas has a great interior. A beautiful painting on the wall which covers the entire wall and sealing. My significant other likes it very much, for me it's the food that I care about.
Let's start with the "Flat Iron Steak" (1st picture) for €18 you only get the steak which is very small. They serve it with fries tho, which do taste great with their special truffle mayonnaise. The steak does also taste great. Thomas has their own signature smokey taste on everything you order. It was surprisingly good.
The next thing we've orderd was the "Ribrack" (2nd picture) on the menu they specified the cost as €23 but the actual pric of this dish is €46. I was in shock about the price because of the amount you get. It is very expensive for what they serve. The taste isn't that great either.
The "Roasted carrots" (3rd picture) did taste great. We've ordered 2 servings of this one. That's why it looks alot. It did taste great tho. The carrots also got that signature smokey taste on them. I liked it very much. These are €4 per dish.
The last things are the "Crispy Wings" we've ordered this one as a side dish. They are not great neither are they bad. The price of this one is €8. Maybe a little overpriced as the most thing here.
Overal Thomas is probably a great place for drinks it has an nice atmosphere and a beautifully designed interior. But when you like food like I do this is not the place to be. The servings are to small and to expensive for what you get. The smokey taste on the meat...
Read moreThis bar for cocktails is a must-visit in Eindhoven. The ambiance is so pleasant that you want to sip a cocktail. I don't know the building's history, but it was presumably a theater or opera house. In any case, the personnel is so kind and friendly that I haven't encountered this kind of behavior elsewhere. Before moving on to the cocktails, remember to use the lamp-like device on the table (turn upside down). When you order something, it will turn from yellow to red and call the staff. The bar offers a variety of beverages, including seasonal specialties and timeless favorites. You have a lot of choices. The good news is that each cocktail's aromatic feel, such as whether it is sweet or sour, is mentioned next to its name. Since everyone has different tastes, I won't offer one here, but you must try the Mexican Negroni.
Advice: If you order a cocktail on the weekends, you'll receive a coin that you may use to get one free drink on Monday and Tuesday after the first one.
Enjoy...
