All in all a lovely restaurant! It's a big positive that the restaurant is away from the streetside, as it feels like there's a relaxed atmosphere thank to no traffic passing by which is something you do have in quite a few restaurants in Groningen. There are some excellent vegan choices available on the menu, and the food is presented very nicely and tastes just as good as it looks. The staff is friendly and keeps the place well organised, and keep it nice and tidy. Some minor negatives were that the cutlery could have been cleaner, and that the order of ingredients on the menu does not represent the proportions you end up receiving. For example for the Lebanese Bread it mentions as one of the first things the cherry tomatoes, but only has two of them on it that are cut in half. It's a minor critique but it is something that could be improved in order to further enhance the experience. Overall I had a lovely time and will definitely come back again!
Would definitely recommend the Lebanese Bread, and the Sweet Potato Chips with...

Delicious pizza base, but way, way too loaded with toppings, guys! Keep it simpler and improve that beer and whisky selection, and you'll nail 5 stars next time. 4 stars.
2nd Experience: Sadly, I have to me and my girlfriend were both disappointed with lunch. My club sandwich took a good while to arrive, and sadly the only chicken on it was a single, wafer thin slice of meat. Despite coming "from the butcher," it's not substitute for breast meat, which is what it should be, as it's the main filling in a club sandwich. Bread was also untoasted, which was a shame. Girlfriend's burger was a falafel affair, but she reported it tasted strange and that the texture was weird, very unlike normal falafel. It also contained copious amounts of raw onion, which shouldn't go on any burger. Obviously, some of the lunch items are not quite up to par. On the back of my experience, come for dinner, not for...
Read moreMy friends and I really have a topic to talk about on our way home: the terrible service of De uuwerker. We understand that is a very hipster sort of restaurant with self-service and writing our orders ourselves but the service was terrible. Our reseved table was put right next to a group of very loud Dutch girls, who took care themselves to separate it, the pizzas took more than an hour to arrive and meanwhile we kept buying more and more drinks, great business strategy. The waitress just carelessly put the drinks on the table and dissapeared, the cuttlery took time to arrive and the cups were piling up and there was no more space in the table. The only time the waiters were on time was to kick us out because the restaurant was closing. Must look cool on the outside but it is a place where we won't be coming back, better restaurants in Groningen to spend the same...
