Bagels & Beans — Restaurant in Haarlemmermeer

From the outside, it looks like a good place to eat, a nice spot for breakfast. However, the service was not up to standard. I asked for an English menu, because while I am okay at Dutch, I wanted to make sure none of my allergies were in the meals. I had to go back to the counter after 10 minutes to ask for it again, as the server had not provided it. Both versions of the menu did not include that the banana bread in the Power breakfast had dark chocolate in it- only on the other side of the menu, down the end. After ordering on the app, and making a substitution of the banana bread for a sesame bagel, it took 15 minutes for the coffees, but 35 minutes for the breakfast to come out, and another 7 for the second bagel. However, this is not the fault of the staff- as I was watching for my meal, I never saw them stand still, they were run off their feet and did not waste so much as a single second… but it still wasn’t enough. This location needs to scale down the number of tables or get more staff for the Sunday shift. I wasn’t the only one who had issues with my food, as we saw two other tables have to return food, or go in multiple times to get things corrected- so please sort this out!!!! My previous review was deleted so here we go again. This worm was in my salmon from my bagel I ordered from here. Once I asked the employees to see what was in my food the worm remained in the table while they were taking pictures of it to show their boss. The owner of this location was having coffee and had his day off, when I asked him if he worked there he said " Its my day off" what do you want me to do about it. He believed it wasn't bad because I did not eat the worm. THAT IS SO DISGUSTING. The service, the food and the hygine is so bad at this place I should've read all of the reviews before going now it makes sense why the hygiene is so badly ranked here. I Was then asked to pay for my full coffee I could not swallow due to the worm in my dish, I was super shocked that even after this the owner and employees still wanted to charge me for a cold coffee I could not drink. I was then told to leave by the owner, I highly do not reommend this place super bad experience. I never will got o bagels. & beans again after this experience.

If my comment is deleted again, I will find ways to keep adding it as my friend also experienced this horrible experience not just me. Good to note this is also reported to the food safety and hopefully then they will enforce...

We came here a few times before and it was good so we thought we could go in for a quick cozy breakfast.

Since nobody asked for our order, I went in to order from the cashier which is fine. However, it took the cashier so long to understand our basic order (2 sesame bagels, one with cream cheese with chives, the other sweet Thai cream cheese) and she insisted these two cheeses are the same. I needed to grab a menu from one of the tables and show her that these are two different cream cheese - after which she understood.

Then we waited around 30 minutes for the bagels, and right when I stood up to check our order - it was ready. Bagels were a bit underbaked in the middle - which was a shame.

The No stress juice seemed to be a combination of different juices but the only taste was of carrots. Orange juice was ok.

All in all, we won’t be coming back because nothing about this breakfast was quick or cozy like...
