We decided to stay for a quick dinner in the hotel as after the flight didnt want to go anywhere else. That evening the Bowery was open which was nice, it is not always the case. The ambience is fine, we got the window table, so the view is great, I like the concept of the open kitchen. We stayed with burgers and beers (Saturday night :-)), I decided for the veggie burger which was really nice, with the french fries it was really decent portion to not starve anymore. I was surprised with the beans and cashews under patty - POSITIVELY and I liked it. As of the service - we had two gentleman that evening, one very attentive and open to any wish such as swap sweet potato for the regular fried ones and the other one we paid to - a bit less attentive. This can be improved with a little bit of smile and then you will be perfect! Thank you for the nice evening.

The noodles had a great texture, and everything was so flavourful! We loved the variety of nuts and veggies. We were too full for dessert, but I’m sure they tasted great as well. Service here was excellent – we were given a warm welcome from the time we walked into the restaurant. The atmosphere is very relaxed. No matter where you sit you will get beautiful views of the outdoors.

I spent the week in Amsterdam and stayed at the beautiful Hilton! The hotel's restaurant, Bowery, was my home away from home because it always had so many healthy comfort foods! The breakfast buffet was superb! Loved the omelets, fresh breads and fruits and endless other healthy choices!! Spent many nights enjoying dinner after a long day of sightseeing! Panos, the Sous Chef, made month watering food and it was so esthetically pleasing too! The kingfish, sauces, and white asparagus were to die for!! The staff was always so nice and helpful and the views to outside were so nice to enjoy as you ate your meal! If you seek healthy good food and a healthy version of Dutch food, you will enjoy the Bowery!!

SO RUDE STAFF. I don’t know what type of servers they’ve hired. I visited this restaurant for the first time and as I was seated by a wonderful blonde hair lady. She was very nice and took my drink order. Now I’ve been sitting there for quite a while and the restaurant was about to be closed. The servers were catering everyone but nobody visited my table or even looked at me. It was kinda rush hour so I could see that everyone was busy so I understood that my order won’t be taken or either it’s gonna take too long. So I decided to go to my room but I had to tell the lady or any server to cancel my drink so that I don’t get any unwanted charge on check out. (yes even the drink was not served for 20 minutes) I was a bit upset because nobody from them even saw me when I tried to call them. I believe in 5 star restaurants or top restaurants you don’t have to shout to the servers, they anticipate by themselves as i also work in service and hospitality field so I know how it works. I felt ignored . Even the family who were sitting next to me told me that why nobody took your order as they could see how they were ignoring me. so at this point I had to approach one of the staff by myself at the counter to request if someone can come and take my order so he looked at me as if he has nothing to say. I mean if you’re busy or you can’t fulfill , at least communicate. At this point I just wanted to go to my room as I’ve understood that it’s a rush hour and maybe they’re too busy to take my order or even look at me. So finally when this server came to my table I told him to cancel my drink and I will be ordering from room as I see it’s getting too late. So instead of showing courtesy and a sheer apology or smile he said, “it’s up to you with shrugged shoulders” as if he didn’t care about the inconvenience that has been caused to me, he doesn’t care about a customer going because of the “rush hour”. I know you’re very busy and you don’t need customers because you’re a 5 star restaurant but the arrogance that he shown to me proved him otherwise. I was really upset from his indifferent response as I didn’t expect it from a “high end restaurant “ and I just left without saying a word. I just feel like the whole experience was very shameful and I will never recommend anyone to visit this restaurant. Later i didn’t even order from the room and ended up buying something from the store at the airport. Expecting a pleasant farewell meal for my parents before they left the Netherlands. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing from start to finish.

We ordered a dry-aged steak, asking for it medium rare, but it arrived clearly overcooked—closer to medium well. We also had the 800g steak for two, which was again overdone and noticeably smaller than expected. It certainly didn’t look or feel like 800 grams.

The most unacceptable part of the meal, however, was the sea bass. It was served completely undercooked, with the middle part still raw and translucent. This raised serious concerns about food safety, not just poor preparation.

To make matters worse, the service lacked basic courtesy and attentiveness. When we asked for dessert menus, only two were brought to our table, seeming like because my parents do not speak English. (The waiter just gave me that answer) This felt dismissive and disrespectful. After finally receiving the menus, no one came to take our dessert order—even after 20 minutes of waiting. We eventually gave up and left without dessert.

We were hoping for a special final meal at the hotel restaurant, but instead, we paid over €400 for a frustrating and unsatisfying experience. With this level of service and quality, I cannot recommend...

Zeer slechte service. Wij hadden een tafel voor 4 gereserveerd voor oudejaarsavond. Van tevoren moest aangegeven worden in welke shift gedineerd moest worden. Wij hadden de shift van 18:00 uur tot 20:00 uur aangegeven. Dat was ideaal voor mijn drie tafelgenoten die in het hotel verbleven en de volgende ochtend al om 03:00 uur op moesten om hun vlucht halen. Opmerkelijk dat bij binnenkomst het restaurant al aardig vol bleek te zitten met gasten die midden in hun diner zaten. Hoezo shifts? Na ruim 25 minuten wachten kwam de bediening eindelijk aan tafel om onze bestelling op te nemen. Je zou denken dat dan in ieder geval de drankjes vlot op tafel staan, maar nee, de drankjes kwamen pas nadat we inmiddels drie kwartier in het restaurant zaten. Nog tien minuten later was er nog steeds geen voorgerecht op tafel. Wachten is vervelend, en al helemaal voor een hongerig kind aan tafel. Bediening liet zich niet in de buurt van de tafel zien, dus opgestaan en naar de counter gelopen om de serveerster te vragen waar het eten bleef. Dat deed wonderen, want binnen no time kwam ze met de voorgerechten aanzetten. Een uur binnen en eindelijk wat te eten! En het moet gezegd worden, mijn pinsa met burrata was zalig. Zo ook de entrecote welke ik als hoofdgerecht had. Een prima match met de Chianti die op de kaart stond. Ook mijn tafelgenoten genoten van de gerechten. Alleen, ook tussen het voorgerecht en hoofdgerecht hebben we een minuut of 40 moeten wachten. Wat een ellende, de bediening was in geen velden of wegen te bekennen. De onverschillige bediening was onzichtbaar. Tussendoor konden we dan ook geen drankjes bestellen en de tafel was maar deels afgeruimd. Wederom maar weer naar de counter gelopen. De serveerster die ik op het lange wachten aansprak verontschuldigde zich met het excuus dat het restaurant vol zat en er tegelijkertijd 20 bestellingen voor roomsservice in de keuken afgehandeld moesten worden. Je zou denken dat wanneer je ruim van te voren een tafel hebt gereserveerd je dan in ieder geval enige voorrang hebt op zoiets als roomsservice, maar goed. Naar mijn mening was hier iets heel anders aan de hand. Wat wij zagen was namelijk dat er slechts 1 kok volle bak in de open keuken stond te koken, af en toe door een collega bijgestaan. Slechts 2 dames stonden in ons restaurantgedeelte bestellingen op te nemen en tafels af te ruimen, waarvan er één halverwege onaangekondigd bovendien verdwenen was voor de rest van de avond. Puur slecht management dus, er was complete onderbezetting en de shifts leken in de praktijk niet te worden aangehouden. Inmiddels was het 20:10 uur en besloten we het dessert maar over te slaan.
