We recently dined at Stripes Restaurant while spending the night in the hotel waiting for a connecting flight. I would never go back to this restaurant! The service was slow and terrible. We waited almost an hour after being seated to even receive our appetizers, which were only a soup and salad! I ordered a medium cooked filet for my son and it came out rare, had to send it back, his steak came out with our appetizers. Our main courses came out missing out side dishes, and my steak was over cooked! When we asked the waiter to order dessert for our son, he told us the kitchen had closed and we couldn’t order anything. This was extremely upsetting because at no point did anyone come to us and say the kitchen will be closing soon so if there is anything else we may want, like dessert for our child, we may want to order it now. When l asked to speak to a manager to voice my disappointment with the food and service, the managers excuse was that they were very busy and must have forgot to tell us. There was only about 3 other tables seated and dining at the time we were there so if they consider that busy and an excuse for the lack of service I definitely wouldn’t want to dine there when the restaurant is full. Unfortunately, the price-quality ratio was seriously lacking. Perhaps we caught them at the wrong time.

The lady who served us seemed very tired from working hard, and she made that quite clear. After an hour of waiting, our main courses finally arrived, but the dishes had been incorrectly communicated, which meant we had to wait even longer. The gentleman who brought it was extremely friendly, but the lady did not offer any apology. When the correct dishes eventually came, she also decided to serve the bread with butter, which should have come beforehand. Throughout the entire experience, there was no sign of basic courtesy from her: no "enjoy your meal," "is everything to your satisfaction?" or "did you enjoy your meal?" She seemed to be on autopilot and forgot to turn in speaking mode. In the background, an irritable older waiter/bartender was visibly upset with a colleague, apparently because some glass had fallen on his head. He made quite a scene, making sure all the guests were well aware of the situation. Quite unusual, to say the least. The food itself was mediocre and in no way justified the price. In short, a major disappointment and certainly not recommended....

Definitely more on the upscale side of dining experience. The service was good initially up until drink and bread service. However the experience afterward quickly fell apart.

The food came out way too slow and waiters did not provide follow up service at anytime up till billing. The food was especially poor, even if the presentation was quite nice. For the food reviews:

Roasted Duck was gamey and extremely tough. Tasted like it was heated with a microwave. Grilled Cornfed Chicken was tougher than Costco Rotisserie chicken breast. Also extremely dry. Skate Wing was half decent, but the fish was extremely salty. Hutspot mashed potatoes were cold on serving.

I would avoid this place if you are looking for decent food. The prices were too expensive and food was truly disappointing. ⅖ kudos to the waiters initial service, but everything else was...
