08-10-2019 Currently closed for maintenance. Not sure what for, but the staff informed me the terrace will re-open around the end of the year.

Offers one of the best views you'll ever get at an airport. On the left side you'll be able to view most international flights, majority being KLM and Delta. On the left a variety of domestic aircraft. You can view a taxiway and runway aswell. It's open to the public, you can enter it without going through customs (note, not accessible if you have gone through customs). Used to be bigger until they built the new British Airways lounge a couple years ago, but to compensate they parked a retired Fokker in the middle of the terrace. You can enter the Fokker and learn about a bit of aviation, and look into the cockpit area. There's also seats inside, which gives the perfect opportunity to mislead your friends on social media that you're about to take off on a flight.

Benches and trash bins are provided. When the weather is nice, you can also get some drinks at the...

While flying with your air line, I bought a return ticket from London. There was a lay over in Amsterdam. While checking in, the representative that checked me in did not know what he was doing, he was very inexperienced! The representative submitted a stand by ticket . I payed full fare for an economy flight, not stand by. I flew from London into Amsterdam, when I arrived, I was asked to step aside as I did not have a seat and was not sure when I would be able to leave Amsterdam on a flight back to JFK. THIS EXPERIENCE caused my blood pressure to go high, such a stressful experience! I have never had this experience and had to beg for a seat to fly home to my family, beg for a seat that i had already paid for. I had NOT payed for a stand by ticket , but for a return flight . My luggage was lost and had to purchase items on my return back to the United States I shall never fly with KLM again and have advised family and friends of the terrible experience...

The Panorama Terrace at Schiphol Airport is an absolute gem for aviation enthusiasts and travelers alike. Located in the public area of the airport, it's easily accessible from Schiphol Plaza. The terrace offers stunning, wide-ranging views of the runways and aprons, allowing visitors to watch planes take off and land up close. The facilities are excellent, with cafes and seating areas available, making it a comfortable spot to spend some time. Whether you're an aviation fan or just looking for a unique experience while at the airport, the Panorama Terrace is a must-visit. It's especially great for families and photographers, providing a fantastic vantage point for capturing the bustling activity of one of the world's busiest airports.Overall, the Panorama Terrace is a well-maintained, enjoyable space that adds a special touch to the travel experience at Schiphol. Highly...

Free entry. You see a lot but you can be unlucky that the plane you want to see doesnt come in your view. Still cool to see planes line up to the gates and the marshal and pushback are also cool to see upclose. If it rains or gets cold you cant go inside to eat and drink. There is a like shield that is not cleanen or just old that you cant look through it but there is still enough space without so you still have a good view. The fokker 100 is also cool you can get inside too, but it would have probably be cooler if the intirior would have been original not just 4 seats. Also the Fokker 100 could use a paint job and could get the sticker removed and also get original engienes not just a wood plank that has halt a engine sticker.

Take the escalators up to the roof of Schipol’s terminal building and enjoy a great view of Europe’s fourth busiest airport. The panorama terrace is pure heaven for plane-spotters and there are enough binoculars outside to see the planes landing and taking off in great detail. If you’re interested in the history of aviation, then pop into the Fokker 100 located here. You can take a look at the cockpit, see how suitcases are stored in the luggage room and learn about Dutch aviation pioneer Anthony Fokker. Admission to the panorama terrace and the Fokker 100 is free and available to anyone with the slightest interest in airplanes.

The Panorama Terrace is a great place to kill some time and plane spot or just enjoy the comings and goings of the endless traffic at Schiphol Airport. Accessible via stairs or a lift and including access to quiet and clear toilets, this is a must experience spot! A former KLM Fokker 100 is on display to walk in and engage in some aviation history. With ample space to walk or sit, some seating is also undercover allowing views of two runways and plenty of time to pass by.
