Krishna Villas: A Modern Twist on South Indian Delights. First Impressions: Stepping into Krishna Villas is like entering a modern art gallery. The decor is sleek and stylish, creating a vibrant atmosphere that perfectly complements the South Indian theme. The soundtrack seamlessly blends light, upbeat music with South Indian influences, making it both timeless and fitting. A Culinary Journey: Having a South Indian craving, I opted for the thali. It was a delightful exploration of flavors! The sambhar and rasam were particularly impressive, showcasing a depth of taste that satisfied even this Keralite who spent 5 years in Bangalore. While the focus wasn't on any single regional style, the blend of South Indian influences created a unique and enjoyable experience. Service with a Smile: The staff at Krishna Villas were fantastic. They were friendly, attentive, and quick to take orders. While the food arrived in about 20 minutes, the wait was well worth it. A Minor Hiccup: The only downside to the experience was the restroom cleanliness. A broken toilet lock and an overflowing tissue bin detracted from the otherwise positive experience. Ample Parking: Finding parking can sometimes be a hassle, but Krishna Villas offers a convenient parking lot right next to the restaurant. This is a major plus, especially in a busy area. Final Verdict: Overall, Krishna Villas offers a very good experience (4 out of 5 stars). Despite the restroom issue, the delicious food, modern ambiance, and friendly service make it a place I'd definitely revisit to explore the rest of their menu.

NO Longer a Pure Veg restaurant as they now share their kitchen with Anjappar Visited once again, again disappointed, dosas were still ok, but the mini podi idly not good. ---------------------- Excited to visit Krishna Vilas branch much closer to Amstelveen, our group of 5 reached the restaurant at 8:30 pm, Friday evening. The restaurant was fully packed. Though interiors are nice the ambience was chaotic. We had ordered, Mini Idly, Chilli Idli, Sambhar Wada, Manchow Soup, Mango Lassi, Masala Wada, Cheese Masala Dosa , Ghee roast Podi dosa and Rava Masala Dosa. We Liked NONE of them. The flavor of Mango itself was missing in the Lassi and Manchow Soup had burnt taste and the consistency & color was also bit different. So obviously we asked them to take it back. The Sambhar served was not warm enough, and the taste also had lot of sourness and a little bit of bitterness. We understood from the manager that the Sambhar style is different that they are trying out. Chutneys were below average... Not like how we get in other branches or in other South Indian restaurants. In the Ghee Podi Dosa- the Podi powder was falling off from the dosa and was not tasty as well. The other 2 dosa were ok. Overall we didn't had good experience, the service was quite slow may be because the restaurant was fully packed... But they should be prepared for such situations, given the number of tables they have. The staff were kind and open for feedback... which is the only positive I can share...

I am staying locally in a hotel and found this place via uber As a vegetarian and from South India. Menu from here looked from home and I decided to give it a go Ordered four items I ordered poori Bhaji and no Bhaji turned up I ordered rava masala dosa Garlic nan And a South Indian thali The food tasted good the uber driver did bring it almost immediately The portions were ok they had packed the food tightly in plastic boxes and I was impressed The rice tasted nice I enjoyed it as this is a treat for me as I don’t get to eat South Indian food that often Does it resonate the south or does justice? Mmmm the jury is out there I was trying to place where in south this would originate and my assumption would be Karnataka even though couple of dishes are named in tamil the way the coconut chutney is made is definitely from Karnataka Overall if you fancy a South Indian this place is good and the price is fairly in the expensive bit but once in a blue moon treat this is ok

Below average food was served at Krishna Vilas Hoofddorp. We are regular customers at Krishna vilas’s other branch and we wanted to try this new branch in Hoofddorp so we went there with our friends as a group of 5.

Staff was too less for the size of restaurant so service was getting delayed although waiters were trying their best.

We ordered mini idli , medu vada, 5 varieties of dosa. After food arrived it was below average. Sambar was really of very poor quality and quantity was too low in mini idli . Chutneys were also not tasty .

Medu vadas were full of oil in vadas and in plates both. Looked like they were refried and not fresh. Multiple layers of tissues we used to soak oil.

And lastly we were charged a wrong bill which we understand can be accidental and can happen in any restaurant but we were disappointed the way handling took time. because the franchise owner was saying now she have to explain to her partners etc which from customer point of view is none of our concern . We got refund but it wasted so much of time for us.

We were offered complimentary kulfis which were nice . Hopefully they will work on feedback of...
