Went here for some dinner earlier today. Ordered the salmon and potatoes and was given a round plastic order machine.
After 20 mins no meal was delivered so I went to speak to the lady at the till. She took my receipt and machine and went off. 10 mins later she came back with my order. At that point I touched the food and it was cold. No one had thought to checked it before delivering it to the table.
When I questioned the fact it was cold, the person looked at me as if I was mad. She then lifted the plate, offered me a free drink (which I refused) and went off.
Another 10 mins went by when she came back and told me to be careful of the plate as it was hot. I then checked the food had not been put in the microwave and she confirmed it was not. At no point was an explanation forth coming.
As I proceeded to eat, the salmon was hot but the potatoes were not. At this stage I put the tray into the used crates and left.
Would not recommend this place as I paid 18 euros for 1 cup of tea, 1 piece of salmon and cold potatoes and the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. Spent almost 1 hour in this place and overall experience...
Read moreHere staff members are more interested with cleaning the kitchen slabs rather than speaking to customer! No communication, not even worried about hungry customer! We asked for medium bowl salads, and one of the staff members showed us the medium bowl! We even double checked with her that it's indeed the medium bowl. At the billing, the lady argued that we have the big size bowl, not the medium! We told her that the other staff members showed us this for medium size bowl.. still it wasn't healthy conversation.
Strangely, the person at the billing said we overfilled the bowl!!!! Is this the way to talk to customer?????
@management people, if the restaurant is not open at 22.30, please kindly inform the customers that the service will not be provided. Please, kindly don't ignore the hungry customers.
Lastly, instead of gossiping about this scenario with ~10 staff members, better please learn to talk to customers and and and and please be friendly and kind. At least have a concern to customer by saying "SORRY"

It's a bit tricky trying to 'find out' how thier food ordering and purchasing system works, the staff seem a bit oblivious to many of the locals and tourists perplexed by this. My best advice is just to plate up, or take what you want - the food is good. I would recommend the zucchini soup - and you will pay standard European airport prices. Cheaper coffee than TIV, better quality that FRA, MUC or anything UK airports have to offer. I'm sure after a few visits I could get the hang of it. A bit like an upmarket school canteen dinning area. We visited La Place twice in a seven-hour layover out of numerous faster food outlets, so the experience wasn't that bad.
