I enjoyed a menu B sushi platter, which was tasty and nicely presented. My issue was the service. I waited over 30 mins for my food because my order was mistakenly sent to another table. This happens and wouldn’t have been an issue since I wasn’t in a hurry. However, they didn’t realise their mistake until I asked about my order, which speaks to a need for better attention to floor management especially since it wasn’t too busy (6-7 tables when I came). They were nice enough to acknowledge the problem, quickly correct it, and offered complimentary lumpia as an apology. All would have been fine, but later when I received the bill I realised the server had misinformed me about the price of a drink. When asked, he denied this, even though I had asked him twice to make sure I understood the pricing. While I would have been happy to ignore the mistake and delay related to my order, when compounded with the problem of my bill, I found myself feeling rather annoyed. Thankfully, the staff at the kassa resolved the issue by adjusting the bill following the information I was given. Recommended for the food, but the service could have...
Read moreI had Tonkotsu Mala ramen and recommended it for those who likes spicy food. I felt the tingling sensation from Mala on my tongue and truly enjoyed the overall flavor of the ramen. It was delicious! Thick broth and complete topping, from well-cooked egg (the yolk was runny a bit! perfect!), crunchy bean sprout, fresh bok choy, and tender char siu without strong pork smell. The portion was a bit more than enough, but I ate a lot, so it worked :D. I finished it!
My partner ordered the Beef ramen and his beef was so tender (the spices were cooked thoroughly into the meat) and the broth tasted different than mine. As a ramen enthusiast, it means the restaurant was serious in making the broth, creating such distinct flavor from one ramen to another. Then, I recommend to close your dinner with one or two scoops of affordable matcha and vanilla ice cream yummy.
The place was close to Maastricht train station and a bit far from the tourist places. I think it is a good option if anyone is looking for a peaceful place to eat for once...
Read moreFirst the positives about this place, the staff was very kind, now to the negatives, we had to wait incredibly long until a waiter had time for us after that we had to wait again for a long time to get the food and after that we had to wait again to pay, this is unacceptable considering that this could've been avoided by organising themselves a bit better.
Rating: 2.5/5 • friendly staff 4/5 • waiting time 0/5 • pricing 3/5 • food in total 3/5 ramen pork 3/5 ramen beef 4/5 gyoza chicken 4/5 gyoza vegetables 3/5 drink 2/5 cocktail 2/5
Unfortunately I can't give this place the 2.5 stars however the fact that we walked out of this restaurant very annoyed and it somewhat ruined our evening it's more 2 stars than it's 3. We'll eventually come back to this restaurant because the food wasn't bad, I just hope it was a one time experience and other costumers don't have to wait so long...
