Lila Restaurant — Restaurant in Nijmegen

I ordered a delivery on Thuisbezorgd and I am shocked. Ya 3ayb el shoum. This is in the bottom 20 Syrian food I've tasted, as a Syrian who has had plenty. For 22 euros, I was expecting a little more than 10 pieces of shish tawoo2. And I wish I could say it was good. It looked more baked than grilled, so there was no char or smokey flavor. The spices were okay, I guess. And when I opened the box to see a lot of that toom, I was so excited only to find out that it had only the smallest hint of garlic flavor. The vegetables were served practically raw, when traditionally they are grilled till they are almost falling apart. It was a sad, sad sight. The tabbouleh made up for the disappointment of the shish tawoo2. It was tasty, and the portion was also fair, though it was a little steeply priced. It could also use a little more burghul. However, charging 11 euros for 8 pieces of yallangi is daylight robbery. It was good, but not good enough for ELEVEN. EUROS. It's not gold, brother. Overall, I would never order here again. It's crazy what you can get away with when you're the only Syrian restaurant in Nijmegen. Please do better, and hold yourself to a higher standard. This restaurant could be the place where some people try Syrian food for the first time, and an experience like this could easily make them never...
