Bochincha Container Yard — Restaurant in Oranjestad (city)

We really enjoyed coming to eat here. The place as a whole has a lot of biergarten vibes. Each container enclosing the space has its own menu which is a little difficult to obtain until you realize they have a QR code you can scan to see all of them. Also there is parking on site. Google maps does not take you directly to the entrance of the parking lot it takes you to the road nearest the entrance of the establishment. I could edit the pin location but I think that would only confuse the situation worse.

Over all the food was fairly tasty! I don't think this was in my top 5 meal on the island but I was there for 10 or so days and ate at a LOT of places. We found the Taco platter to taste very good but be surprisingly underwhelming for the price. For 60 some florin we expected full sized tacos and we received the equivalent of a Taco slider... they were good just small. Much more suitable for one or 2 people than for 4 even with appetizers. We did have several appetizers and each was fairly good. If you're an American and are used to fried calamari being breaded they don't do that here (this is not necessarily a bad thing but it's easy to see fried calamari on a menu and expect battered or breaded). The fried gouda sticks were incredible! Another friend ordered a burger and fries which actually looked pretty decent. I did not try that though. I think in total we paid about 75 USD for the two of us and their bill came to almost the same for 3 more... we probably won't be back unless it's for appetizers and beers.

Overall I'm giving this 5 stars for ambiance and 3 for food. If you want to eat at a very cool spot you won't find anywhere else here you should come. If you want a culinary masterpiece which will fill your expectations as much as it does your belly......

Overcharged By the Bar drinks and Grill place in USD instead Florins but not the other vendors.

We had dinner at Bochincha Container Yard and unfortunately were overcharged.

The menu at Denni Grill (or a similarly named) with prices listed in Aruban Florins (ƒ). However, when we paid, the final bill was processed in USD instead of Florins, which made the total much higher than expected. When I questioned it, I was told it was in USD but we didn’t feel we could challenge it further. I asked to see the breakdown after paying which showed the correct prices in Florins, and I took a photo for reference.

The issue came from the bar area, as well as the food associated with Dennis Grill as i paid together at the bar. While the food portions were fair and priced correctly in Florins, the drinks and food items were ultimately charged in USD, which significantly inflated the bill meaning it was way overpriced for the portions and quality.

Other vendors at the container yard were transparent and charged exactly as advertised and was amazing food.

Unfortunately, this experience has left us disappointed and would advise checking pricing before ordering.

Really Fun! A courtyard of containers encircled with various food vendors to choose from to include a Wine Lounge and Cigar Shop. Large bar situated in the center with Nalga Formed Bar Stools to take in your favorite adult beverage and Live Entertainment. Staff @ the Yard were absolutely awesome. They take your order and deliver whatever food you want from each establishment to your table. We tried food from El Taco (Mexican Cuisine) , El Parche (Columbian Cuisine) , Sizzles ( Philippine Cuisine) and Masago (Sushi). Food was average price and quality. We enjoyed food from Masago the best. The Atmosphere, Staff and Live Entertainment is what really makes this place fun. We went on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night. Each night gave a different experience. Wednesday was slow but Thursday and Friday got busy with the start of their Carnival Festivities.
