Hanasaki Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Oranjestad (city)

I’m disappointed to write this after such a great first dine-in experience at Hanasaki Sushi Bar. When I visited with family, the atmosphere was warm, the portions generous, and the flavors fresh. That memory is why I confidently ordered takeout last night, knowing exactly what I wanted.

Instead, I waited 25 minutes only to get home and find flavors noticeably off and portions shockingly small. Half the container was empty. Having eaten here before, I know what their servings should be, and this was nowhere close.

It’s disheartening when a restaurant treats takeout like an afterthought, putting in less effort and delivering a completely different experience from what they promise in person. For that reason, I won’t be returning or recommending Hanasaki Sushi Bar to anyone seeking...

Hanasaki Sushi Bar has some of the best sushi that I’ve ever had!! We walked here from downtown Oranjestad and it was a little bit of a walk, and not in the most popular area, but regardless, everyone should give this place a try. Our waitress was very accommodating, polite and respectful and made the experience that much better. We enjoyed the Fuji Roll, Spring Roll, and Alaskan Roll (names are different on menu) and Yakisoba Noodles. Presentation was also incredible. If you are in the area and looking for some amazing sushi, I recommend this place...

This is the first place where the menu was in AFL, not USD. I think the food would have been better if the rice were fresh and not frozen. It was a surprise to me that EVERY roll has creme cheese in it. 🤷‍♀️

We had the tuna tatare. That was decent, but the tuna just didn't seem fresh. We also got the platter 2 with 3 rolls and gyozas. The gyozas are actually ragoons--not gyozas. Overall, the food could have been a lot better, but the food is very affordable. With tip our bill...
