Aruba Made — Local services in Oranjestad (city)

I was hoping to see more local vendors. There were just 3 the day we were there. We wanted locally made items to take back to the kids & they were hard to find. We didn't want to spend our entire vacation chasing them though.

Update 2025 there seemed to be more selection but it was mostly clothing. I did find a piece that I wanted to purchase. The person at the register was on speaker phone the whole time & didn't even get off for the sale. She also required USD cash & it had to be exact change. Then she couldn't take a photo that she apparently required because she was still on her phone call. Rather disappointed with the experience...

This was a cool little collective of local businesses in an open air chill spot. I decided to try the pofferdorie booth with stroopwaffles and mini Dutch pancakes. A nice little treat. I got a dozen with just powdered sugar and they were soft little pillows...
