My husband came by this place on a recommendation from a person whom he had just met during one of our beach activities. Let me tell you, this place is top notch on every level.
Upon entering Catch, the hosts were professional and greeted us immediately. The ambiance is edgy and the color scheme is perfect for an island restaurant: Tiffany blue, silver and gold. Very, very clean with modern lines in their style of decor.
The host sat us down with our server Paola. Paola was friendly and explained the menu thoroughly. We even got to meet the Chef and he showed my husband the fresh catch of the day. You could tell by this Chef that he takes pride in his work with the selection of the ingredients that goes into his menu. There were so many delicious items to choose from, but we ended up with the King Shots as our appetizer to start with. How fun! You can enjoy this appetizer solo or make it a sharable. What a wonderful delight to our culinary palate. Fresh sashimi with avocado, truffle sauce, radish and micro pepper. Not only was it visually pleasant but delicious! For our choice of entrées we had the Catch Parmesan and the Garlic Shrimp Linguini. The artistry in the plating of the fresh catch was overwhelmingly creative. The pasta and garlic shrimp was "scrape the plate" worthy!!! Now for dessert...we tried both the Deep Fried Oreos and the Fudge Brownies. What can we say, we were going for full tilt at this point. Both very sweet and palate cleansing! We also enjoyed a cocktail called the Breakfast of Champions. Wow! What an explosion of both textures and flavors. Down to the micro skewer of crispy bacon to compliment this cocktail.
We did get to meet and chat with the owners Logan, Javan and Chef Moises. Such nice and personable individuals here. They have something special here. They have the combination of talents, professionalism and knowledge of a current/future success story in the restauranteur business with a local flare. We wish them much success on this endeavor. We will definitely be returning here for another wonderful evening. Please give them a try and enjoy the...

I typically don't write reviews, however this time I feel I need to. This is our third time in Aruba and we are not new to local restaurant sene. We wanted to try a new place and based our choice on the all positive reviews about Catch Restaurant - Aruba.
Unfortunately our experience was not all good.
Here is the main points.
The good - appetizers are good and tasty we had two different ceviche, king shots, and couple salads.
The bad: #1 Our group had three people with different allergies. We have been asked by the hostesess, and then the waiter about the allergies. We explained and each time thy took notes in their ipads. When we placed the orders for main corces we specifically said that one of us have lactose intolarance and asked for side dish (potatoes) dairy free. The waiter assured us that potatoes are maid with butter only. When we start eating we noticed that all of the potatoes have cheese!
#2 We have choose to seat inside and the place have live singer (I would call this caraoke style singing). There was no accompanied music - just caraoke style voice, it was loud and made hard to have a conversation at the table.
#3 For main dish we ordered surf and turf with everybody having meat "medium rare" two in our party got "medium rare" the rest got rare. I did not feel safe to eat uncooked meat.
#4 Deserts - dont bother getting - they are bad. We had apple pie, deep fried oreos and lychee ceviche.
#5 They have mandatory 33% gratuity charge: 15% kitchen and 18% waiters.
We talked to the manager and said that we have no issue with gratuity for the waiters but extra 15% was not disclosed anywhere and this is not charged at other Aruba's restaurants. The manager agreed to remove the 15% but did the opposite - punishing the waiters for some reason.
Over all the experience was very bad, and for the place with four $$$$ as the pricing was not to the expectations.
We are now passed this and continue to enjoy Aruba - I just want to warn the others that may based their choice of this restaurant from the reviewes.
Not sure if the others reviews...
Read moreLast night, my husband and I stumbled upon a hidden culinary treasure near Eagle Beach – Catch Restaurant. The restaurant seamlessly blended indoor intimacy with the breezy charm of its outdoor patio, offering a setting to match any mood. The music created a vibrant atmosphere, yet remained subtle enough for easy conversation. Adding to the magic, we learned they feature live entertainment on select nights.
We began with a delightful exploration of their cocktail menu. I enthusiastically recommend the Key Lime Pie Martini, particularly with the slight modification of a lighter simple syrup – a testament to the bartender's skill and willingness to personalize each drink. The resulting flavor and presentation were truly exceptional. The Watermelon Caipiroska offered a vibrant, refreshing compliment.
Even before our main courses arrived, we were completely won over by the appetizers. The Sashimi shooters were an unbelievable —bursts of fresh, perfectly balanced flavor. The calamari was extraordinary, the batter was light and crispy. And the ceviche? Fabulous combination of fresh fish and citrus, some of the best I’ve had!
Additionally my husband tried the seafood soup, a rich and creamy red broth with tender shrimp and succulent fish. Fabulous! Definitely a must try for those who love seafood.
For the main course the "Fish Trio," was wonderful. Three distinct preparations of the freshest catch of the day, each paired with a unique and perfectly complementary signature sauce. While the blackened preparation was my personal favorite, the option to have the sauces served on the side allowed for a complete appreciation of each delicate flavor.
We concluded with a decadent shared dessert: a rich chocolate brownie à la mode and a plate of irresistibly crispy fried Oreos – the perfect sweet ending to a perfect meal.
Throughout the evening, our server, Darwin, provided impeccable service. His attentiveness, friendly demeanor, and unobtrusive presence significantly enhanced our experience.
