Our recent stay at Le Vente Beach condos in Aruba was marred by several unfortunate incidents, leaving us thoroughly dissatisfied with our choice. While the property's location near Eagle Beach and the well-maintained pool and grounds were lovely, we experienced significant difficulties with our privately owned unit, compounded by inadequate compensation from Prestige management.
We specifically reserved a ground-level condo for convenient access to the pool. On the second day, a power outage occurred in our unit. Upon reporting the issue to Prestige, they arranged for the owner's contractor to investigate, revealing water seepage into the electrical box. This necessitated waiting in the condo or leaving our belongings unattended. We chose the latter option and headed to the beach. When we returned there was a giant hole in the celing and pieces of drywall on the floor.
We were informed that the problem had been fixed and that it was due to condensation. Unfortunately, the power went out again that same night while we were sitting on our deck. Given the late hour, we were forced to track down the security officer to request assistance from the electric company. It took 4-5 hours for the power to be restored, leaving us without the ability to take showers or use the bathroom with lighting or charge our phones.
The following day initially seemed promising, as the power had been restored. However, upon returning to the condo late at night, we discovered yet another power outage, resulting in our refridgerated food reaching room temperature. Again, I had to contact security and report the issue to both management and Airbnb, further compounding our frustration. The power was finally restored in the early hours of the morning but we slept in a pool of our own sweat again and had a horrific night.
As a resolution on the fourth day, we agreed to move to a different unit on the fifth floor. This process consumed over two more hours of our vacation time, involving having to pack up all our belongings and make several trips in a small, hot elevator to access our new condo. Regrettably, the new unit was smaller, lacking the full amenities we paid for in the other unit, including the absence of temperapetic beds, and much smaller bathrooms. Moreover, we lost our comfy outdoor furniture and easy floor access to the pool and beach.
Throughout this ordeal, Prestige management exhibited unprofessionalism by failing to follow up with us once we moved units. Despite enduring two consecutive nights without electricity and all of the associated inconveniences, they only offered a refund for one single night. This one night compensation did not account for the lost relaxation time, heightened stress, and inconveniences we experienced during our vacation as well as the second night without power. We repeatedly sought fair resolution, but management simply ignored our pleas for additional compensation, prompting us to now pursue action through our credit card company. They even commented that we had "an upgrade" because this second unit had an ocean view. We didn't care about the view... we booked the larger floor condo for a specific reason.
Due to our awful experience and unprofessionalism of management, I'd exercise caution when considering Le Vente Beach condos for your Aruba vacation. Our unfortunate encounter and Prestige's refusal to provide appropriate compensation for the multitude of problems we encountered just isn't right. Exercise caution when booking. There was nothing "Prestige" about this management company or experience.
Having worked in the hospitality and service industry for over eight years, I am well aware that unforeseen incidents can happen and are not necessarily the fault of anyone involved. However, it is the manner in which such situations are handled and the ability to demonstrate empathy towards guests while ensuring fair compensation that can prevent reviews like mine from being...
Read moreAmazing other than getting stuck in the elevator 2 times in a 6 day trip. Once with an infant.
About the elevator experience they have these phones stuck to the size of the elevator and where to call for help I guess it happens more than you want to expect. I noticed it only happened going to the ground floor in the left elevator and when we had 3 or 4 people in it. The door just gets stuck and doesn’t open. In about 5-7 minutes the security or maintenance guys come and pry the door open, it seems like this might be a regular thing. TIP: people freak out when this happens. They try and “kick in the elevator door from the inside” urgw them not to do this as that’s how how the door opens and they could make this routine inconvenience much worse if they have the might to deform the door.
Good: everything else
Positives: safe quiet location without many people using the pool. There are some iguanas that chill around it we notched if you don’t bother them they won’t bother you. I tried to splash them to shoe them and they came back with a vengeance and started getting more aggressive.
Gym: nice little gym no one ever uses it dumbbells go to 50lbs and there’s one weight machine and some treadmills.
Parking isn’t packed and security people are very nice.
Modern well lit spaces with Plenty of space and natural lighting. We stayed in a 2 bed location and it was delightful. The washer and dryer are small by US standards.
Location is near eagle beach and a few restaurants you can use a key fob to get out of the pool area.
They have ice machines near the pool for the beach which is nice and the...
Read moreI do not recommend staying at Le Vent Condominiums. Me and my friends booked a ground floor unit that had easy access to the pool and no stairs. For two nights we had no electricity in this unit which meant we could not use the air conditioner or any appliances. It was very uncomfortable sleeping in the humid heat with no air conditioned and having food go bad on the fridge.
To make matter worse we were moved to the fifth floor because they could not get electricity back on the ground floor unit. The new unit we were moved to had hair and dirt in the bathroom, was much smaller, and the floors were dirty. The owner/management did not check on us when we moved to the new unit and did not provide any assistance to remedy the situation.
The owner only refunded us for one night, but ignored our request for a refund for the second night due to lack of electricity and to the major inconvenience moving to a new unit which was much smaller and super dirty. The owner /management needs to improve their responsiveness, problem solving, and guest satisfaction to provide an enjoyable stay.
Run away from these condos because they only care about money. Great...
