As a local resident of Aruba, I've had the opportunity to dine at various eateries across the island, but my experiences at Señor Burrito have been notably unsatisfactory. My concerns are not based on a single visit but rather a series of three disappointing encounters that reflect a concerning pattern in both service and food quality.
On our first visit, the essence of our discontent stemmed from incorrect orders. We specifically requested gluten-free crunchy tacos, only to be served their non-gluten-free counterparts. Furthermore, there was a mix-up in the meat selection, which compounded our dissatisfaction.
Hoping that this was a one-off mistake, we gave Senor Burrito another chance. Regrettably, our second visit mirrored the first, with similar errors in the taco order. This repetition of mistakes began to paint a picture of carelessness or a lack of attention to customer requests.
Our third visit, however, was the most disheartening. Not only was our order incorrect once again, with a gluten-free request being overlooked and an incorrect meat option provided, but we also faced an issue with the pricing. As locals, we were previously granted a discount, which was inexplicably denied on this occasion. When inquired, the explanation given was that discounts don't apply to internet orders, contradicting our previous experiences and indicating either a change in policy not communicated to customers or a blatant misrepresentation.
To add to our grievances, the attitude of the shopkeeper was dismissive and arrogant, especially when we sought rectification for the repeated errors. Their unwillingness to acknowledge or correct their mistakes highlights a significant deficiency in customer service, which is as important as the food quality in the hospitality industry.
In conclusion, while I am usually an advocate for local businesses, my experiences at Senor Burrito have been consistently below par. The repeated order inaccuracies, misleading pricing information, and poor customer service have left a lasting negative impression. I hope this feedback serves as a constructive critique for the establishment to improve its service standards and accuracy in order fulfillment. As of now, I cannot recommend Senor Burrito to fellow locals or tourists seeking an enjoyable dining...
Read moreSo, my wife and I decided to take a break from the beach to see if we could find a burrito that could match the perfection of Aruba's sunsets. Enter “Senior Burrito Aruba”. The name had us curious – was this a retired burrito living its best life in the Caribbean? We had to find out.
I went for the shrimp burrito because, hey, when in Aruba, why not stuff your burrito with the local seafood? My wife opted for the veggie burrito, proving she's always got one eye on the green...even on vacation.
Let me tell you, these burritos were like a vacation within a vacation. The shrimp burrito was so fresh that I half expected it to start swimming in my salsa. Juicy, flavorful, and wrapped up like a snug little package of oceanic delight. My wife’s veggie burrito was so packed with fresh veggies that I’m convinced they must have a garden in the kitchen. She said it was so good that it almost made her forget she was missing out on the shrimp. Almost.
The service? Lightning fast! It was as if the burritos had a plane to catch. Or maybe they knew we were hungry enough to start nibbling on the napkins. Either way, they arrived in record time, piping hot and ready to be devoured.
Overall, Senior Burrito Aruba serves up burritos that are as refreshing as a dip in the Caribbean Sea, with service that's faster than a seagull stealing your beach snack. If you're in Aruba and craving something wrapped, stuffed, and delicious, this is the spot. Five stars, two satisfied bellies, and one unforgettable burrito...
Read moreThe Burritos are good, that'll earn this place 1 star. Everything else on the menu is overpriced tortilla chips and is to be avoided.
Now for the service, dining in is okay but expect a long wait because the owner is flat out disorganized. If you decide to order pickup, well you are in for a real adventure now. Online orders go directly to the owners phone as an email. He misses about 50-60% of the emails. This will not surprise you when you see this man and his phone. When you show up for your food, he puts the order in. This kind of misses the whole "pickup" thing.
The good news is they are in their own storefront now so you don't have to listen to them argue with the sushi chef they used to share space with a few doors down. That made all the extra wait time really unbearable.
Again the burritos are really delicious. Don't order anything else. Don't pay until your food is ready. Ask how long it will be until your order is ready. After all that, Just add an extra hour on to your expectations.
If you can handle all this, I am 100% sure you will enjoy...
