This adorable little Heladeria (ice cream shop) is an Aruba gem! The experience is so much more than a cool treat.

The owner welcomed us to her open air shop, she was super friendly and accommodating, explaining the different frozen concoctions and their flavor profiles.

I am obsessed! We ordered the Lulada and the Cholado and were blown away with the flavors of both! The flavor of the Lulada (green) was a sweet citrus with a rhubarb tartness to it. Topped with a scoop of ice cream - it was chefs kiss deliciousness. The Cholado (pink) was a fruit salad extravaganza - mango and apple and dragon fruit - just to name a few. The shave ice was perfectly smooth and balanced the sweet bright pink drink. It’s a must try!

We paid in US cash. Our bill, with tip, was $25 for these two giant frozen treats. Worth every penny - plus buying here keeps money in the local economy and supports a woman owned and operated small business.
