Read moreThe place is cozy, but you may not like the location depending on how severe you suffer from claustrophobia since it is basically an alley between 2 buildings. I ordered the "Mixed Sourdough" which has a slice of toasted sourdough bread with avocado and pumpkin seeds and another slice of toasted sourdough with tomato and basil hummus. Both were drizzled with balsamic vinegar. I found the latter more tasty. You can salt and/or pepper to the avocado toast to give it more flavor. But the cafe makes everything the healtiest way possible, and it is up to you to personalize it to your taste at the table. That said, people who want to eat low sodium food can comfortably eat here. Service is pretty good and quick (maybe since we were the only ones there). Also, expect that your smoothies and juices will not be automatically sweetened if you choose a fruit that is not already sweet, which I didn't mind when I ordered the passion fruit juice because I like the tart/sour taste that it has. The toasted sourdough was quite firm, so people with sensitive gums should take small bites. I asked for a side of scrambled eggs, and they were...

That alone should tell you something. We were looking for food we could both eat (I’m a vegetarian and my husband is not) and luckily found this place not far from our hotel. Oh my goodness.... we couldn't have found a better place to stop. First, it's absolutely beautiful. It's an oasis with art, flourishing plant life, hanging hammocks, and fresh air. The food was fresh and delicious with something for both of us. And the cocktails and mocktails were amazing and incredibly balanced! All of that would have been enough, but then we met the owner (Ronald) and his mother (Danielle). They and their staff were so incredibly warm, welcoming, and kind. They are the kind of people you just want to know. I highly recommend this place for the food, drinks, company,...
