Place has minimalist aesthetics, and minimalist functionality. There is no hanger to put your coat so you cozy up on the bench surrounded by wet jackets. Open kitchen design, but no wents. Whole room, including myself at the end, smelled like burned eggs and bacon. Exactly the thing one might want to avoid by eating out. Also, the kitchen was disorganised, as if it was going through a manic episode, contrary to what is expected with open kitchen fronts. Multiple plates were broken and still used, proudly displayed on the counter.
Personnel (instructed?) poorly. Serviablity and communication was terrible. Long waiting time for food and also cleanup, even with little amount customers.
Dishes 1/2. The hummus bread came up with only half the ingrediants and also completelly different from the menu.
First forgetting the avocado, the fix took more than 10 minutes. And the plating, dissapointing. Second, the type of mushroom was switched. Champignon is not Shiitake. Also, they were cold.
Upon mentioning the muscroom mixup, I was replied with “I dont work in the kitchen”. With a minimal menu, its unthinkable that the staff is not properly trained on its content. Solution brought back also unsatisfactory, staff unprofessional.
Burata peaches was alright, besides being served on a broken plate, but nothing...
Read moreYou can try to remove all the comments about plagiarism buddy, but having been to yours and to the place you are literally ripping off from this should stay on top till you somewhere through a post or in the coffee scene make clear what your intentions with blatant plagiarism like this is.
The comments of people that can’t look further then their own nose saying the other location didn’t invent “Scandinavian aesthetics” in a coffee location, sure you are right, but they don’t have a Scandinavian aesthetic. If y’all would go there you’d know, if you want to write truth at least visit.
From the font used for the lettering, the menu, placement of things on the bar you are trying to be an exact copy, which puts it at PLAGIARISM.
If people think you are their second store you give of the wrong vibes and maybe need to convey some responsibility.
Next time I’m in Rotterdam I’ll personally confront you about this so I’ll put action to these words. Maybe you dare to give off a statement or interview so we can put out in the coffee scene what your intentions are or just want to keep it at plagiarism.
PS: ask your roasters to give y’all a barista course... cafecito is better still and you have beans that are worth a...
Read moreThe food wasn't too bad tho, however the wait time was insane, the cafe was almost empty but no one seemed to care. Very unfriendly staff that seemed bored to just work there, the owner was super unfriendly, almost mean, after we just asked about our food, since we waited for 30 mins in an empty cafe. This is not even taking into account that the first time we came, it was closed when it was supposed to be open (Tuesday 1pm.), we even checked the IG account... no info. It's a pity because the space seems quite nice but yeah, would not recommend. Won't be coming back. Even the coffee wasn't too good, tasted more like Perla from Albert. Doesn't live up to the expectations and there are many more friendlier and nicer cafes in Rotterdam such as Cafecito, âme, or Kuub with better coffee....
