We had a high tea planned. It took the staff 5/10 minutes to notice that I was standing there to know which table has been reserved for us. Then it took 15 minutes to order a cup of coffee. I had to waive to order while there was no one else in the same room I sat… there is also no difference between a latte and a latte macchiato. Everything (at our table) has been served as a latte macchiato (with a cappuccino foamy milk). When the high tea arrived, nothing has been explained to us what has been served on the table. While other tables did get this service… We had people with different kind of allergies, so it’s rather necessary for us to know… But we eventually had to ask explanation for each thing which had been served on our table. Applepie and red velvet were rather dry… the only nice thing we really enjoyed was the lemon curd cake and scones. This is the only reason why I can give them a one star rating.
Water for the high tea wasn’t refilled until we asked and had to remind the staff multiple times for it.
Only in the last hour of the 4 hours we sat there, they asked us if everything was alright and if we needed...
Read moreThis restaurant has some really lovely things about it. The location for one, is just fantastic. Although it's just a few minutes walk from the tram stop, once you sit down you feel completely isolated from the busy world outside the park. It's calm and quiet and the view from the outdoor seating of the restaurant is absolutely incredible. Simply tranquil and relaxing and beautiful. However, I only wish that the food was as good. The breakfast platter was incredibly subpar. Untoasted sliced bread topped with a random slice of hard cheese and ham from the grocery store. You could make a better tasting breakfast yourself, at home. The pancakes were super yummy but they were tiny! Those 3 tiny pancakes felt like a starter portion and left us hungry. I would come here for a tea while overlooking the park and reading a book, but save yourself the money and don't bother...
Read moreI was quite disappointed with my experience here. It’s a beautiful location, but the service was not good. Waited a long time to order drinks, while waiters passed us multiple times without acknowledging us. Then waited a long time for drinks (just bottled drinks, nothing that needed to be prepared). Heard waiters complaining about a group that came, which also had to wait a very long time to be acknowledged. I would suggest that if you’re stopping service at 5 for a wedding party that you put out reserved signs on tables in advance rather than be rude to people who sit down unknowingly to have a drink and enjoy the view. Will give it another chance in a few months as they are recently opened. Hopefully they train their staff in...
