Parkheuvel Rotterdam is literally located on a hill surrounded by beautiful river vieuws. The hospitality at this ⭐⭐Michelin Restaurant makes you feel at home and the service is outstanding. After personal, excellent, advise from Chef Patron Erik van Loo we started with Sint- Jacobsmossel. A Ceviche, Perle Imperial caviar, crème fraîche and Dutch mushroom make a delicious amuse bouche. Every dinner has a topdish, mine is the Foie Gras three ways. Apple, Beetroot and Chocolate, Heaven has landed on my plate. Next a European Lobster cooked to perfection, which shows great skill, followed by a refreshing plate of veggies. Root of Chervel, grilled Celery, Broth of Shiitaky and Foam of Patato. This Chef turns veggies into fun, tasty foods. The Chicken from the famous French Bresse region is served as a Ravioli with little Crawfish, wild Mushrooms and a Lobsterbroth. We finish with an outstanding selection of soft cheeses. The Parthenay, Fromagio a la rossa, Pavé creme and Sable de Vincent. During the evening I enjoyed a first class Sauvignon blanc from Francois Chidaine, an ADc from Tourraine. Parkheuvel offers a wide selection of quality wines from all over the globe. It was a fantastic dinner, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. ps. Love the little supporthook keeping my...
Read moreThe food was fine. But in advance I had stated by email which choice of red bottled wines should be served. However, it was only on the evening itself that they first came to me to report that there was only 1 bottle available. A proposal was made to me. I had made a choice. Then the same question is asked again to the guest after me. Why ??? And during checkout, these 2 bottles of wine (which were not available) will be settled. While I was told by the staff that these 2 alternatives were around EUR 210. So cheaper than the EUR 300 We also had to call the waiter for a few dishes to ask what we were being served. (The food was served, but no introduction/explanation) No dedicated waiter for your table. So I certainly thought it was out of proportion in terms of price and quality. I have had much better experiences and experiences from your fellow colleagues' restaurants. Also due to the nice weather they open the side-door for some fresh air. However, also we had some issues with flies from outside to inside the restaurant/our diner table. But in their door their was no preventative screen door installed to keep the flies away. For such a restaurant as this should this be installed. I hope you that Parkheuvel will evaluate this to improve...
Read moreWe have wanted to introduce our 3 year old to fine dining for a while but, understandably, have not had any joy with Michelin restaurants that welcome children. Parkheuvel not only allows children they welcome them with open arms. The service here was exceptional, the staff all have personality but still give you 5 star service. The food was out of this world, I've been thinking about it ever since (especially the lobster). Lastly, I asked someone to take a picture for me, completely unaware I was asking the head chef/owner. He was so happy to do so, I was later feeling very embarrassed that I hadn't realised who he was but I think that was a perfect example of how this place does not feel the need to show their excellence through being pretentious, the pure joy of the experience they deliver speaks for itself. One of the best meals I have ever had and over the moon to have introduced my little one to this wonderful...
