Where do I Start?
I must admit, there are a few "so-called" Vegan restaurants here in Rotterdam. You will be quick to learn that the vast majority of these are fast-food chains, and some are pre-made/ set dishes within the menu.
Came across 'Happy Food & Health' and WOWZER, I am blown away by the personal integration with Erol along with my dietary requirements, which was no onions, peanuts, yeast, and soy.
The chef and wife were super helpful and have proved that they can take on the challenge of improvising a dish on three occasions. This is because everything was made with fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned and you are able to taste every spice within the complex of each mini dish in one serving plate.
I was honoured to try out a sneak peek of the new dish (soon will become available) on the menu and I cannot wait for you guys to try, let's see if you can spot them in the pictures ;)
Keeping in mind, these ingredients are locally sourced, organic, gluten-free, vegan-friendly, and chef kiss.
The combination of the fresh produce combined with the creativity that goes into every dish is mind-blowing and I dare you to try it out as I can guarantee, this will be one of your top 3 restaurants. As surely, it is mine.
The dish was aesthetically pleasing and the atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and very welcoming with kindness.
I cannot recommend visiting Happy Food & Heath enough to anyone, everyone should pop in and have a meal there or even to-go. You will not be disappointed.
Lastly, thank you so much for the homemade gluten-free & nut-free banana bread. It was delicious and I'm still thinking about it.
I will see you again very soon and thank you so much for taking care...

We went here because my daughter is coeliac and vegan and had a couple of issues with cross contamination during the holiday. There was no risk of this here and the food was awesome too.
All plant based and all gluten free, everything made on-site by the restaurant staff.
The atmosphere is fresh and vibrant, the food was delicious, original and healthier than a lot of holiday food.
The staff were friendly, the owner works in the restaurant and was so friendly and talkative. Talking of plans for the place and how the food is made, which gave us a real sense that he loves what he does and it shows in the end product.
As everything is made on site, they can prepare around any food allergies or dietary requirements, the staff really seemed to know what they were doing which gave us confidence we could eat there without allergy issues.
The nachos were a must, their home made “cheese” sauce was great, the mixed grill gave me a taste of almost everything on the menu too, which was great. The smoothies were excellent too.
Only trouble with the place was that the kids couldn’t eat everything, the portions were big and we didn’t get to try the desert as we were all too full.
We will definitely be going back for another taste and maybe try the desserts on...

We walked all the way from Rotterdam city centre to have dinner here. It was Prime time and the restaurant quite empty. Maybe due to reopening/renewing of the menu. When we entered, the - supposedly - owner was busy discussing something with the waitress. Fair enough. We waited and finally got their attention.
After a good consultation about what to order (restaurant still quite empty, except like 2-3 tables), we unfortunately waited for ages (like about 45 minutes or an hour) for our food (lasagna, fries and a burger) which arrived luke warm. Taste was okay but nothing special. Tab water was also forgotten - but fair enough (-does not seem to be the most popular order in many restaurants and staff anyway still busy discussing whatever behind the counter)…
What annoyed most though - besides the high prices for quite regular dishes - ws not so much the chaos but the cynic comments (“humor”?) and stressful behaviour of the boss (?) towards us. No, we are not students just because we want to split the bill. No, it was not only the water that was tasty, just because we don’t praise your basic food (or because you think we are poor students - which...
