I am so confused!
The spicy chicken is actually not authentic Chinese food. We ordered three dishes, one starter and two mains. One of the main dish is the spicy chicken which is a famous Sichuan (South-western area in China) course that would taste spicy as the name suggested. On the contrary, when I tried my first bite of the chicken, it tastes like KFC chicken popcorn with no taste of spicy (even not salty). I was confused, as a Chinese customer myself, at least I expect it should be as spicy as McSpicy from McDonald's. So my friend and I asked the manager why the "spicy chicken" is not spicy at all. The manager replied that the dish is prepared for the "locals" so that it should not be spicy to their concerns. Then she argued that I was responsible for my dish as well because I didn't order the spicy level, and it is medium level (which tastes like still water). The thing is, we were never told to choose a spicy level, and even if the food is designated to be non-spicy for locals, I am not from the Netherlands but from China, why the heck is my dish prepared as how they treated the locals? I guess arguing is not a solution to this hilarious restaurant, so I have to take it. I do am responsible for what I have been through, because I chose the wrong place to have dinner.
Guys, please be reminded if you are considering which restaurant to visit, DO NOT go to this one if you want to really try some authentic Chinese food. But if you are not a fan of spicy food (the dish I took is actually not even mildly spicy), then this is the one!
P.S. They didn't even use the Sichuan pepper in the dish, which is an important ingredient in almost all the Sichuan food, just as crucial...
Read moreNever seen a place where the quality degraded this quickly. Not a good experience.
To be honest, during the last two visits, everything was perfect so I decided to come back and planned on inviting more people over but after today, I will have to stop recommending people to this place. Absolute disappointment.
The dishes were dirty but when getting the complaint, they immediately gathered at the back to talk bad about the customers instead of fixing the problem. I can hear: “她为什么有那么多事呢” (rough translation: “Why does she have so many issues?”).
Indeed, I still pay full price for everything (about €43) and DID not ask for any compensation at all but instead even getting scolded at. With this amount of money, it is easy to get way more decent food with better hygiene out there or even a great selection of all-you-can-eat buffet with better service.
They’re now at a steeply decreasing quality with questionable customer service and an overpriced pricing. No wonder other restaurants in the area are filled with people all the time when they can’t fill up half of their seats (in the total of 3 times I visited). With this type of behavior then pretty understandable.
(Not to mention the beef was also half-cooked (whilst the first time it was fully cooked, no problem), just to see the inconsistency). Anyway, if you want to pay money and get scolded at behind your back then this is a good place : ) I understand maybe not all the employees at the place are like that but the fact that they gathered to talk about customers like that when they haven’t even left yet gave me a long-lasting impression of unprofessionalism and rudeness....
Read moreI am a regular customer here but the service really goes bad and bad now. I just get an impression that the service girl here just doesn’t pay attention to the customers at all. Several times had I to end up with waving or walking to the service girl for making an order after have been patiently waiting for more than 10 mins, including giving a sign to the service girl by keeping the menu closed. It is really annoyed especially when you are hungry from work to get to the restaurant. Additionally, the way they put the dish on the table is like they dump the stuff to you…. It is really not a good way of serving. After so much bad experience lately, I don’t know whether I will come + recommend this restaurant to my friends any more....
