Restaurant On Cru — Restaurant in Rotterdam

Didn't had much expectation from this restaurant as it is pretty new. But I was blown away by the quality of each course. They will finalize the dish in front of your table and give a short background story of the dish / ingredients. Each dish is well thought and the flavours are on point. I would highly recommend this to try out.

Only improvement point is the staff shortage. The staff is really friendly and helpful. However, the host was also the only bartender and waiter. The kitchen therefore would help serving out. Whenever I needed something they would help me and did not had the feeling I had to wait a long time. However I did felt burdened to ask for anything since I saw how busy the host had. Overall 4.5, was satisfied with the food, service and the ambience. With the original beam from 16th century, that was quite an eye catching adding extra cozy atmosphere at the restaurant. We had a 5 gangen menu, my highlight was the poussin and white asperges, very delicious. Desserts were pretty and delicious! I am giving 10/10 points to the restaurant, atmosphere, food, the chef and most staff. One member of staff looked a little under the weather and kept sniffing with his nose as if he had a cold and touching his face. He also hurried through dish descriptions. I felt mostly sorry that he went to work that day, not angry or anything. But I think he should call in sick next time (poor guy).
