SHABU SHABU Rotterdam Zuid — Restaurant in Rotterdam

I have ordered from this a restaurant to eat at home several times and it was fine but the first time I went to eat in the restaurant itself was terrible, I was there for the all you can eat, I ordered my first round, food arrived fast, then ordered the second round and it never arrived, I complained after 45 minutes, then someone came to manually take my order (instead of the digital menu), after that more 15 minutes have passed and someone comes back trying to understand what I supposedly did wrong (which wasn’t the case, their app was showing my order was done successfully), and instead of bringing the food the waitress wanted to “teach me” how to order even though she agreed that the app said that everything was correct. Then I told her “I won’t pay for the all you can eat” and I didn’t, it took some debate but I end up paying half the price. I won’t eat...

Hmm difficult... I mean the place is definitely nice and the food was good (for someone who doesn't eat sushi). BUT, generally I think there are better places for the price you pay at shabu shabu. If you pay 34eu excl. any kind of drinks, shabu shabu should be excellent. Which it was not. I felt rushed to eat and order. At some point we were full, which was also when we as a group started communicating across tabbles. Before, everone was working like an oiled machine lol. So, I would not recommend this for big groups, but small groups of around 6ish should be alright.

There are many options to choose from for the food. And the service was very good. Quick young diverse waiters.

We visited this place at the first time and were really surprised. We moved to Netherlands one year ago and for this time it was the first sushi which we really like! The rice was fresh and very tasty, good felt fish inside and perfect beef steak with the sauce suits to it much more than traditional. The conception “all you can eat” is very nice, for this money we ate more than enough. My wife even hasn’t powers to go to dessert so I made photo, for her it was paradise , cookies fruits and really tasty ice cream, the same we tasted just one time in Italy. As usual we don’t make reviews but stuff was so kind so we couldn’t do not say them thanks So we wish everyone to visit this place, especially if you want to eat really good sushi which so difficult to find...
