We went there with a colleague from Madrid and another one from Rotterdam.

Initially I was so happy that at least there's a restaurant to let them try Malaysian food without traveling so far to Malaysia.

Unfortunately when the dishes come, I was quite disappointed as being a Malaysian I know how these things are supposed to taste like.

One sentence: the food is quite customised to Netherlands taste hence losing some of the great flavor of true Malaysian taste, which is a no no to be honest as they do not truly represent the real ones.

The laksa while taste ok is not spicy at all.

Satay?! I think they should be called Japanese yakitori instead, and it's missing the peanut sauce with peanut chunk, the soul of satay is really missing here.

And my last order, cendol has been another disappointment as well. Thick coconut milk and lotsa gula melaka and a bit of cendol.

To be honest, I am a little bit embarrassed to proudly say that those are Malaysian food in front of my 2 colleagues. I only have to tell them please come to Malaysia to taste...

I just visited this restaurant on a saturday evening at 20:00. From the somewhat 70 tables only 5 are occupied, while the Italian restaurant across the street is full. Not a good sign. I'm not familiair with Malaysian food, but this restaurant seems like a normal wok restaurant.

Because of the low attendance the buffet food is old, cold and mushy. A shame. They should make less of each and remove food that is there for too long. Wok is okay, spareribs are rather tasteless. There are no deserts, except for some wok fruits.

Food quality varies a lot. It is not bad. The fresh foods are okay/good, the rest is mediocre. Fills your stumach, but i wouldn't...

Great all you can eat Malaysian restaurant. The cooks are skilled, listen to your personal wishes and the taste and freshness of the ingredients is good. They have a great variety of Malaysian cocktails as well that form a decent dessert menu.

The service at your table is also great, they really make you feel at home and your plates are taken away while you're on your way for seconds, or thirds or .....!

So, in general, Kampong Kita is one the asian restaurants that I could really recommend for a great bang for buck experience, a great place to regularly visit with your friend...

Ordered the Chicken Laksa but for any other Laksa lovers out there I'd pass this on this one. Its the first time I've seen cucumber used in a Laksa which is interesting but to be honest the broth is watery and has a weird tang taste about it like too much lime or lemon juice was put into it. The rice noodles are thick and the best Laksa's I've had use thin rice noodles which I also prefer and there is also some sort of lettuce in the soup which I believe does not belong. The use of breast chicken is nice. The restaurant is large with only a handful of people so not much atmosphere.

Firstly please note that the buffet starts at 5 pm. My lunch was therefore a la carte. Unfortunately the Malaysian pangsit goreng (fried wonton) were greasy and the laksa, although looked really great, was watery and I had to pile chilli sauce to make it tasty. Laksa broth must always be thick, full of coconut milk taste (santan) and savoury. A minor point: why cucumber and Chinese cabbage? I'd like to return to try the buffet
