On a Friday night, we decided to escape the house and catch the NBA playoffs game between the Denver Nuggets and the Minnesota Timberwolves. We were in search of a local spot with a nice atmosphere and air conditioning due to the weather. While browsing online, we stumbled upon Amore. The website showcased some enticing pictures, making our decision easy. Upon trying it, we found it to be everything we desired. The lounge section was incredibly comfortable, equipped with a 4K television and perfect sound system. The finger foods and diverse selection of drinks were wonderful, complemented by an excellent serving staff that was both friendly and attentive. As the night progressed past 11 p.m., the bar came alive, with a DJ spinning a wide range of old-school hip-hop, R&B, and dancehall tunes. There's also a restaurant within the establishment, which we plan to dine at soon and will be providing an additional review. Overall, it was an...
Read moreWe did not have a good experience at Amore. The restaurant was empty, yet service was very slow. Our drinks were watered down and the meal was terrible. My husband’s risotto was pasty and I ordered seafood in garlic sauce. I asked what seafood was in the meal and was told fish, shrimp and clams. When it arrived it was loaded with mussels, which I strongly dislike. They weren’t even in the shell, but in the pasta. When I mentioned this to the server, she seemed like she didn’t know what to do, but did not offer to replace my meal or take it off the check. Neither of us ate more than a couple bites of our meals, yet neither our server nor management asked why we threw away two complete meals. When we said we didn’t want to take home the leftovers, she simply said that she was sorry we didn’t enjoy our food and delivered our $150 check. There are way too many delicious restaurants on the island for us to ever visit again. Do...
Read moreI want to start with the positive. Our server was wonderful. She made our dining experience great. The atmosphere was okay. Wasn't busy, clean and had a good reggae playlist in the background. Unfortunately, the food wasn't good. I ordered pozza. It was litterly the worst pizza I have ever had. It made frozen, no name pozza look good. I got the margarita and it had paper thin crust with 2 kilos of cheese. You couldn't even see the crust there was so much cheese.it was unbalanced, tasteless and absolutely inedible. My Dad got the chicken parmigiana. It was burnt at the top and chicken was dried. The mushroom side dish was okay as was the scalloped potatoes. (They needed salt but otherwise fine) the portions were large but sadly the good didn't cut it. Strongly suggest trying any other Italian restaurant as there are several inthe area to...
