Update Management responded and I need correct their response. First Geraldine was our main server not Chris . Second they claim they just cut mangoes and serve. Any average Thai restaurant will always test mangoes and inform guests if they are not ripe and offer an alternative such as ice cream. I suggest Avantika could and should do the same and not just blame the mango Avantika was built up as the best Thai restaurant on the island. We had visited years past so wanted to have dinner there on our Anniversary. Good location and if the elevator works (broke down while we were there) better than climbing up and down the stairs. Not very crowded and we were allowed to choose our seats. Geraldine our server seemed disinterested at first but when I mentioned how nice and polite her colleague Chris was, there was a pleasant attitude change. WE ordered jumbo coconut shrimp for appetizer (very good) and for main course fried basil rice vegie (very average) and Penang curry with chicken and shrimp (good). For dessert mango sticky rice and coconut ice cream (mango was clearly not in season) Decent but not thrilling visit

We had dinner at Avantika on our first night, and it was a great experience. The atmosphere is intimate and romantic — perfect for a quiet evening out. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome right away. My wife is vegan, and they were accommodating with the menu, which we really appreciated. The food came out fairly quickly, and everything tasted great — flavorful and beautifully presented. We ordered one appetizer, two entrées, a mojito, and a Diet Coke. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality and service made it worth it. Overall, it was a lovely evening and a 5-star experience. We’d definitely come back again, just maybe not too often because of the price.

Ambiance, staff, drinks, and vegan food ALL on point. One of the few places we went to multiple times in our trip to St.Martin because they accommodate for vegans. We highly highly recommend the pineapple fried rice with fried tofu, and the red curry- i suggest you skip the soft tofu in this (its an extra $5 cost, and not worth it Imo). Also recommend the Tom Yum soup, again skip out on the soft tofu here and just get the normal. Also recommend medium spice or above for real flavor! Absolutely will suggest this place for my vegans traveling here. The lychee margarita was absolutely amazing it tasted like a sorbet dessert! The staff were so sweet and talkative/ accommodating.

Avantika is absolutely one of the best dining experiences we have had on the island. It gets a 10/10 in every aspect. The ambiance and atmosphere are beautiful, inside the restaurant and out. The service is incomparable to anywhere else on the island. You are greeted with a smile and given the upmost hospitality. A drink is never left empty! NOW; I can not rave enough about the food!!! WOW. I’ve eaten at countless Thai restaurants in many different countries, even Thailand. The red curry at Avantika is the best I’ve EVER had! (And remember, I’ve been to Thailand!) My husband had the crispy beef dish which was also delicious. If you’re interested in an appetizer and can’t choose just one, they have a sampler platter that hits all the right spots! The crispy pork is a MUST try! YUM! If you’re considering Avantika for your next dining experience, look no further! You will not be...

The food was great so i feel bad giving it a bad review but i cannot get over the bad service. We had a late lunch/early dinner there today and almost left as we thought maybe it was closed since we did not see anyone working. The only reason we knew it was open was because a patron told us there is someone working but he hadn’t seen her in a while. Once we finally found the waitress, we were able to order. The food itself was delicious but the server never came back to check on us. I had to go find her to pay the bill, where she proceeded to finish her conversation with a coworker before addressing me. During our meal, we saw two other couples come and leave because they did not receive any service. For being a place that is touted so highly, we were quite surprised at the...
