I recently had the pleasure of visiting "Hupple the Pub" in Simpson Bay, Sint Maarten, and it was an experience worth sharing. This lively establishment offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a beautiful wood bar, open window seating, and a charming patio that adds to the overall appeal.

Ambiance: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The ambiance at Hupple the Pub strikes the perfect balance between vibrant and relaxed. Whether you're looking for an energetic night out or a laid-back evening, this pub caters to both moods.

Bartenders: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The bartenders (Chris, Moos, Suze) at Hupple the Pub are not only friendly but also incredibly talented. They make you feel incredibly welcome as they craft both classic and specialty cocktails with precision and care. They are attentive, engaging, and happy to make you a fancy Espresso Martini (pictured) or just crack open a beer. Chris made me a most delicious Caipirinha (also pictured).

Food: (I can't rate as I didn't experience this) I didn't get a chance to try the food, but they had a special Indonesian-themed night with dishes that looked enticing. Their regular menu is pub-friendly bites.

Overall Experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hupple the Pub exceeded my expectations. The combination of a lively atmosphere, friendly staff, and expertly crafted cocktails makes it a must-visit spot in Simpson Bay. This is a classic neighbourhood pub but for 'around the world' neighbours. We were so glad we found it. It was a fun, vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. We visited first on Dec 23 and enjoyed an amazing band, The Melting Pot maybe? We went back on Christmas Eve for karaoke with Santa Greg and stayed for over three hours. A lovely touch was the plate of meatballs, cheese and peanuts served to each table. Thank you! They even had an ugly Christmas sweater contest. Many were dressed in festive attire. We visited a couple more times in the evening during our stay. The staff remembered us after our first visit. And, we always met some fellow Canadians who all said, "The island is gonna get you!" The only downside for us, and it's just a personal one, was all of the cigarette smoke with no way to get away from it - even being outside with the warm trade winds blowing. We haven't experienced so much smoking in restaurants and public spaces for decades so we just weren't used to it. Visiting Huppel the Pub was definitely a fun part of our stay in Simpson Bay,...

Great "local pub". Always nice people, a very wide variety of patrons from all over the world, but everyone is nice. The staff are fast, funny, kind, and always stop to check on you often. Very friendly atmosphere. Great place for a few pints and some darts.
