But here’s the twist; all the meaty juices and fats drip into the hot broth on the sides. Changing it into a flavorsome noodle soup as a great companion ➡️🍜

Mango rice is amazing, you can tell that they really know what they're doing. The interior design reminds you everything about Thailand. The tea is great too, that is exactly like what you could have in Thailand. The grill and hot pot combination is quite interesting. It's not a place for exceptional food (The snack dishes and mango rice are great but the meat and veggies for grill are so so, nothing really good but also nothing really bad, which makes sense for its price), but the atmosphere and the vibe that the staff gave were really amazing that reminds you a lot of Thailand. In general quite a good place to hang out...

Al een hele tijd stond het op de planning om samen met een collega (inmiddels beginnende nieuwe vriendin 😉) te gaan hotpotten. Thuis had ik het wel eens gedaan, maar nog nooit in een restaurant. Na twee jaar praten was het eindelijk zover. We hebben samen gehotpot! Supergezellig.

Niet lang daarna kwam zij met een nieuw idee: “Laten we een keer Thai BBQ proberen.” Ze wist dat ik gek ben op Korean BBQ en hotpot, en ze was zó overtuigd dat ik dit ook geweldig zou vinden. En ze had gelijk. Dit keer duurde het gelukkig geen twee jaar, maar binnen een maand stond de volgende eetdate al vast. En dat was gisteren, na werktijd. Lekker Thais barbecueën dus.

Zij is zelf van Thaise afkomst en zodra ze hier binnenstapte zei ze meteen: “Dit voelt als thuis, net als in Thailand.” En eerlijk? Ik snap dat helemaal. De sfeer was ontspannen en gezellig, en de twee eigenaren waren ontzettend vriendelijk en leuk.

We hebben Thaise ijsthee gedronken, ook al zijn we allebei lactose-intolerant. Geen spijt, want het was zó lekker dat het ons niks uitmaakte.

En dan de Mango Sticky Rice. Ooit ergens anders geproefd en toen snapte ik de hype niet. Maar nu wel. Deze was perfect: zoet, romig en de mango precies rijp.

Het concept met de tafelbarbecue is superleuk. Zelf lekker kokkerellen met gemarineerd vlees, rijst met veel smaak en verrukkelijke sausjes. Alles was goed op smaak en de porties precies goed. Ook de watermeloenjuice was fris en echt lekker.

Kortom, ben je fan van hotpot en Korean BBQ? Dan is dit echt jouw plek. Alles klopt. Het eten, de service, de vibe. Het voelt bijna alsof je even op...
