Ali's Lebanese Incredible Sandwiches — Restaurant in The Hague

The food is excellent! The three stars was more for the disappointment we experienced just now.

We ordered so many times through ubereats or thuisbezorgd and they’re always amazing. This time we decided to have a take out. Since we’re a bit in a hurry, we inform them by phone to order our meal with an extra note that we’re short on time and we’ll be there in 20mins.

What we didn’t expect is that we had to wait for extra 20 minutes just because they had accidentally skipped our order, and served another person who came later while I was there witnessing the whole thing. Thank goodness for an open kitchen, I guess. Realising their mistake, they made our sandwiches in a hurry which unfortunately resulting in below par sandwich quality: messy wrapping, less crispy bread, inconsistent from what we usually ordered.

While we understand that mistakes can always happen since we’re all only human, we’re disappointed in the way they handled the situation. Especially when we came around 15:00 while the store was not...

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place until now. Ali’s is that ideal combination of delicious food at an affordable price that keeps you coming back. Even though I’ve moved out of The Hague, I keep thinking of reasons to go to that neighborhood so I can grab a sandwich and fattoush from Ali’s. They are also extremely consistent; trust me, I’ve visited at least 20 times.

The sandwiches are crispy on the outside and savory-acidic on the inside. The Incredible is huge, so arrive hungry because it’s also the tastiest. Falafel is moist inside and flavorful. Mezze platters include several dishes which are all delicious and work well for sharing. The only thing I remember getting that wasn’t great was the spinach feta pastry, which was a little short on filling and bland. Otherwise everything is fantastic.

Staff are friendly and very efficient, I enjoy watching their assembly...

The food was amazing, delicious, tasty. The best falafel I ever ate outside middle East! The aubergines were super delicious, the broccoli even more, potatoes were really yummi.... I super recommend this place, food is served in big quantities and in great quality too. One of the best places in Den Haag! À Very important point for me is that they do not have meat, the whole place is vegan and vegetarian friendly ❤️ we ate really a lot (we could not even finish it and took some food away with us!) & we only spent 26 euro: 2 big wedges dishes with mayo, a big aubergine wrap, a biiiig falafel dish with hummus, vegetables, aubergines and bread, broccoli.
