The staff were welcoming and polite. As international ‘local guide’ who’s been around for many years, I do really value that. However, evil is the details, in this case in customer care. There was an unpleasant accident with my pumpkin soup, which I have sent back with plenty of tact (also for not screwing the lunch of guests nearby). I received prompt excuses and replacement, and a question regarding what the restaurant could offer us to make it up. I suggested to offer me the final coffee - and that was it, from my part. My family owned a restaurant and I do know that accidents in the kitchen may happen, simply. However, miscommunication among the staff made us leaving with the coffee paid, too. So here’s an unrequested but much felt advice for the future: next time, just replace the course and take it down from the bill no-question-asked. Don’t inquire a client who’s not made any complaint for something for which other clients could have made a scene, let alone with the restaurant full.
That said, I will be happy to return and try the dinner menu with my girlfriends. The pumpkin soup...

She also constantly tried to pass and wedge herself between me and another guest from another table. Yes, even during dinner! Get some new staff ASAP. She could have walked around, but she obviously couldn't be bothered. These kids nowadays have no manners and are unfit for the real world. The food was OK, nothing special. The cheese and cracker for €10,50 is the worst starter I've seen in my life. One slice of cream cheese and a broken tortilla like shell. Something out of a student restaurant. I think it was the most expensive starter they had and no restaurant should serve it.

Read moreThe first time we came here, it was absolutely amazing. Great service from our waiter, amazing food, and wonderful atmosphere. I came back a second time with my husband and we had an entirely different experience. The food was still fantastic but the service was horrible. Our waitress was incredibly unfriendly and unkind, dropping food on our table without barely making eye contact. She never asked how we liked the food and seemed annoyed that we were sitting in her section. We couldn’t figure out why as there was no awkward friction from our side. When we asked about the food and wine, she acted exasperated and we had to flag her down (or sometimes other waiters) as it seemed like she was actively avoiding our table. It was such a negative experience that despite how good it was the first time, I won’t be coming back to risk it.
