Café Restaurant Paloma — Restaurant in The Hague

We went here cause of the AMEX experience. I found this place, not my girlfriend hehe. We had high expectations cause of the reviews. We order the chicken taco, actually I did, and gf ordered the beef starter. Both were really really good. I suggested sharing one of my two tacos, I regretted cause very good flavours and portion. I also had part of her beef which was also delicious. We both had the chicken as main, again very good portion and very tasteful. Came with two big portions of French fries. Definitely the best out of all AMEX restaurants we have been. We like the idea that you could just choose from the main menu rather than that the restaurant prepares a fixed menu. Gf was full but still wanted the churros. They were good- we would only recommend putting cinnamon on the churros. Gf was very happy but again, I found it hehehe so she will be extra sweet...

Being located on the Anna Paulownaplein, the terrace is of course beautiful to sit at. Service was attentive, quick and friendly - unfortunately there seemed to have been a miscommunication among the staff: our waitress told us the pimientos de padron were sold out, and a good while later we saw them being served to other tables. Pisco was also sold out, which was somewhat disappointing. The first Margarita I ordered was essentially just tequila on the rocks - no lime - the second one was slightly better (but still very little salt and no lime slice?). The food was good! Definitely recommend getting the Aguachile. The Croquetas and Yuca fries were also great. All in all the restaurant is on the right track but needs to improve in some aspects /...

Disappointing Experience

I had a really disappointing experience at this bar. First, we were told that the cocktail we ordered wasn’t available. About 10 minutes later, we were informed that the beer we had ordered wasn’t available either. We decided to wait for our food, but after 45 minutes of waiting, we still hadn’t received anything. When we finally went to ask about it, intending to cancel since it was taking so long, we were told that our order was never even placed. Throughout all of this, no one bothered to come over and inform us or check in. The lack of communication and service was truly frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend this place based...
