ROOM — Restaurant in The Hague

I love this bar/restaurant in the summer, because it is a gorgeous place to stay, sit for hours while enjoying the sun. It is always filled with people enjoyed their glass of wine with bitterballen. :-) The staff is very friendly and quick, the drinks and the food are good with fair prices. The food is not good, it is delicious. They propose the room burger, it is with camembert and nuts, the steak is always perfectly cooked. Save yourself the aggravation and do not go here. My daughter and I sat outside for lunch today. We ordered drinks and asked for a lunch menu, which took a while to get. After the server brought a menu, he never came back to take our order. We sat right by the entrance and he walked past us many times with his head down and ignored my attempts to get his attention. After about 30 minutes of sitting there and being ignored, I had to flag someone else to pay for our drinks and so we could get food elsewhere. There are plenty of other places with great food and great service in the area. Don’t waste your time and money...

Tasty food, good presentation, cosy interior! 👍🏼 However, not sure if the staff were having a difficult day when we went, but it took them 20 minutes to give us the lunch menu card. This was after I had asked for it twice already. Another 25 for our food to arrive. It was busy but not mad busy. Our drinks and food kept going to the wrong table and we had to tell them that it was ours. Luckily the food tasted fresh and delicious but that doesn’t account for the fact that it came after 45 minutes of us arriving.
