Via a sponsored Instagram-ad I was informed about this place. And since I love to eat bagels, I was like
“Why not go travel to The Hague and see what this place is all about?” Take tram 17 from The Hague Central and you’ll find your way here in about 7 minutes or so. It’s a cosey place and has a small terrace for those who would like to sit outside. I was noticed straight away by the friendly personnel. Once presented with the menu, I decided to go for the “everything bagel” with cream cheese + chives and optional crispy bacon. For drinks I ordered the Special Flavored Iced Latte Toasted with White Chocolate flavour. The bagel was nice. Somehow I expected more flavour onces I bit into the bagel, maybe just a punch of salt? This is just my personal opinion of course, my taste palettes just missed a bit of zing I guess. Luckily the bacon added at least some saltiness that I was craving for. Nevertheless, I had a good experience here. The people that work here are friendly, genuine and helpful. So if you are looking for a nice place to enjoy a nice bagel, this is definitely a nice place to pay a visit.

Was always a bagel fan and mostly went to Bagels and Beans because that’s the biggest bagel franchise in the Netherlands. My taste changed once I visited New York and actually had the real deal, B&B was nothing compared to these bagels, so there jt was, the challenge to find Bagels that justify it’s name and are the real deal. I didn’t have to look for a long time, because man these Netherlands Bagels are sooo good and just like my Bagel experience in the US! They have seating inside and outside and are also very diverse when it comes to drinks. The owner is a New Yorker herself, so just believe me to just skip Bagels and Beans and just come here and treat yourself to a hefty bagel. They are generously filled and very nicely flavored. My all time favorite will be the ‘New Yorker’ on an Everything Bagel. Fyi, they also deliver and you can order your bagel through whatsapp, so you can pick up your lunch and go home right back to the office if you’re having a busy workday.

When we were in NY, we were very intimidated by the size of its bagel and it's toppings. Netherlands Bagels is just right to indulge a Dutch person. After having incredible bagels in London (for European standards), we had high expectations for Netherlands Bagels as it is run by an American. We had a NY Bagel as well as the Californian BLT to share. While the toppings were both good, we were both a tad bit disappointed by the bagel itself. It was quite tough to chew (jaws could be trained here) and I'm surprised you have to pay 75 cents to get it toasted. At this price point (€12-€14), I'd expect this to be included if requested. Furthermore, I ordered the iced matcha latte. It was a small glass with milk and just a little bit of matcha (barely tasted it) for €5, yeah — that was what disappointed me the most...

Absolutely the best bagels in The Netherlands and better than several of the places I've had in New York City itself. The owner, Karen, has Classic American customer service that goes well above and beyond anything you would find in Holland.

If there is ever a mistake, which admittedly there were a few when she first started (I've gotten bagels every single week since November of 2020!) She has not only replaced my products free of charge with an apology but each week has improved and listened to customer feedback 😀👍

Seeing baseless claims and slander by Gisel Hartman actually makes my blood boil because it came from someone who was upset at her having more attention than a competitor on a mutual Facebook group and is an attempt to hurt her business because of social media jealously. I highly encourage Netherlands Bagels to take legal action because not only are they an amazing business with absolutely delicious and high quality products, but a wonderful staff who truly care about us as clients.

edited to add that Gisel Hartman now thinks it is appropriate to harass, threaten, and blackmail in order to leverage the actions that she wants on a private Facebook group and here on Google reviews. All this does is further prove Gisels lack of character and the integrity of the Owner, Karen, to not give in to blackmail and the undermining of her business.

edit for clarity that Gisel Hartman seems to have removed her review but went about cyber stalking me and found a private email address, used a throwaway email like a coward, and threatened to out me as a Sexworker in an attempt to get me to remove the facts in this review. How petty and sad that her attempt to undermine another business will now have not 1, but 2, people now bringing her to court. This isn't America Gisel, what you are doing is illegal and I will...

I have been a fan of Netherlands Bagels for a few years now, all the way from their second kitchen in Rotterdam. Now, with their sit-in cafe in Den Haag, it is safe to say that they have only improved and grown. The bagels are consistent in both taste and shape without being too uniform (as they are handmade) and the flavours and toppings used are quite enjoyable. I don't eat fish myself so I haven't tried it, but I have heard quite good things about the new york style bagel. I have to be honest though and say my favourite is the bodega. It never disappoints.

I eat a ton so often I'll end up getting one bagel sandwich to eat in, and then another one to go. It's the perfect way to have a meal and a snack for later. Their drinks are also quite enjoyable and customisable, and I'm a huge fan of the Arnold palmer.

Do note that they put the cream cheese on the bagel unless you specify it on the side!! Not a problem and I'm fine with it as I'm lazy, but some people have complained that the standard should be flipped. Either way, I bring every american I know here and will...
