Shakshuka Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in The Hague

My friend and I were really enjoying ourselves tonight: the food was amazing and the vibes were great. At some point, however, we found out that there had been a mix-up: we had been served and had eaten something that didn’t align with our dietary principles (the dishes looked very similair), though we only realized this afterwards. Not wanting to make a fuss or diminish anyone’s effort, we chose to carry on and enjoy the rest of our evening.

To our surprise, the staff did make a point of it – in the most respectful and generous way. They insisted we didn’t pay for a thing. I honestly can’t remember ever experiencing a restaurant taking responsibility like this, with such care and heart. I even forgot to leave a tip because of it while they clearly deserved it.

Please, go visit. The food is wonderful, the atmosphere is warm, and the team truly deserves all...

After several 5* food experiences here, we were happy to return again, probably for the last time. We were greeted by the waiter and took a seat on a mostly empty front patio. Once he returned after discussing it inside, we were asked to leave because our table was booked. And all the other empty tables are booked too. None of the tables had a reserved sign placed on them, nor did the place look fully booked or closed for a private event. It’s totally understandable if it’s booked, but please put a sign on it.

Being told to leave from an empty restaurant does leave one wondering if the matter is with one’s self, looks, or whatever. The food IS good, if they are willing to serve you. Awkward situation for all, left feeling very...

The food was delicious. I definitely plan on coming back to this restaurant on another trip to Den Haag.

We tried the dish of the day, which was a Palestinian braised chicken with carmelized onions on a crispy pita. Also, hummus, makdous, and shankleesh. Each dish was extremely delicious and we look forward to trying some of the other delicious looking items on the menu...don't know if you can really go wrong with anything you order here.

The drinks were also creative and delicious. The only drawback was that they seemed to be a bit short-staffed, but the waitstaff was still extremely friendly, and they were looking to hire more staff. I can't wait for them to have the full help they need because this...
