Yummy pastries, relaxed vibes, stunning interior and specialty coffee - that’s my take of Petit by Sam! After being a regular at Petit by Sam in Amsterdam, I was curious how the new cafe would be in The Hague. And all my expectations were exceeded! The sweet treats, staff and coffees are great as usual, and on top of that the interior is so beautiful, warm and welcoming. I felt very zen spending my afternoon there. This time I had a little me time with coffee and cake, but next time I’ll for sure visit with my son, so that he can explore the little kids area. And if you’re wondering about the pastry itself: my husband and I don’t have any intolerances, but we find the cakes and pastries at Petit the most delicious ones out there - and bonus points that they are made of high quality and healthier ingredients than usual cakes. Then it’s less of a guilty pleasure… :-)

We ordered cakes from Petit by Sam for our wedding – and we couldn't be happier! 🍰 The cake was not only beautifully decorated, but also tasted absolutely amazing – all of our guests loved it. The decoration of the cakes was done with great attention to detail and fit the occasion perfectly. The service was outstanding: friendly, reliable, and professional. A special thanks for the great organization – the cakes were delivered right on time to our venue, and everything went smoothly. It really made our day easier! We are completely satisfied with our experience and can wholeheartedly recommend this café. We’ll definitely be coming back – not just for special occasions! 😊

This is (still) a hidden gem in The Hague. I don’t think I have ever had a better vegan Croissant. The vegan and gluten-free cinnamon swirl was a sweet swirl into taste heaven ;). The cappuccino with oak milk was also really amazing. For any vegans, this is the perfect place to spend a nice short break and enjoy some delicious sweets. I highly recommend a visit!

My friend lovingly ordered a Death by Chocolate cake for me to celebrate several accomplishments in the last two years. Sadly the cake was quite dry and tasted a bit like a stale brownie... I'm grateful that he ordered it with the fruit option, as that redeemed the dryness and bland chocolate flavour somewhat.

I wouldn't mind any of this if the cake hadn't cost him €21, but at such a high price point for something so small, I expect a cake that is more soft, moist and fresh tasting. I can't help feeling like he wasted his money, as I've baked something similar that was larger, much softer and more moist for half of the price.

Based on other reviews, I'm sure that their other pastries must be wonderful, but sadly I can't recommend their Death by...
