I must say that my recent experience in this place was quite impressive. The interior is absolutely stunning - even only that factor is worth visiting. The attention to detail in the design is phenomenal, and you find yourself wanting to explore every corner of the space. The overall atmosphere was really cozy and vibrant in the same time. The service was top-notch, almost making you forget you’re in the Netherlands. The staff were incredibly attentive, clearing empty plates swiftly, and there was no need to spend ages looking for someone to place another order or ask for the bill. On top of that, the waiting time for food was very fast, which added to the pleasant experience. As for the food, the stewed meat (Birria) was simply fantastic. In my opinion, they could add more variety of sauces and larger portions of them, as the concept is “to share” but the sauce portion was barely enough for one flatbread per person. The Colombian empanadas were a bit too specific for my taste, being deep-fried, which I’m not a fan of. Unfortunately, the dessert selection lacked variety, and I couldn’t find anything particularly appealing to try. However, the beverages menu was excellent, offering a great selection from non-alcoholic drinks to cocktails and a variety of alcoholic options. The pricing, in general, is more than reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and service. I definitely plan to visit a few more times to get a fuller picture of the menu, because I found the food to be one of the weak...
Read moreQuila was a nice finding in The Hague. With its modern mexican style decoration and a wide variety of Latin American dishes, it’s a must if you are craving for a great Latin experience. We were a big group (+15 people) with a pre-established menu. Starters were solid options(from tacos al pastor / Peruvian ceviche and Patacanes) - then main course included properly cooked protein (from beef / cabbage / grilled chicken + side grilled veggies / patacones and sauces) and a selection of desserts full of flavors (from churros - mil hojas - crème brûlée). About the drinks: the agua de Jamaica / horchata and cocktails are well made and very close to authentic Latin-American drinks. About the place, is very aesthetic / modern and somehow cozy. Great spots to create some memorable/ insta friendly pictures. Extra points for the great selection of Latino music (volumen was moderate). About the service, the stuff was friendly and helpful. The only point for improvement is to have a printed menu for the pre-established menu that can help the group to have clear information about the options for each course. It felt a bit confusing to have the waiters telling us out loud each of them. In my opinion not practical and it is just easier for both the restaurant and customers. At the end, everybody received what they ordered. Only in the main course from 15 people 2 had to wait a little bit more for their food to arrive.
Overall we had a pleasant time. Hope to...
Read moreNot worth even parking your car to make a visit to the place!!! Although eating was acceptable (and I’m saying acceptable, not good)… personal was not horrible but even worst than horrible; from the first person to the last one; not even one saves from the disaster of the place. There were two girls; both Spanish speaking (and I speak Dutch and Spanish so there could be no excuses). One of them comes always late and only thing she does (she makes it quite obvious), is flirting with the bartender. The other one just doesn’t know what she is doing; she looks very “sad” or “passive” and even serving dishes full of jewellery isn’t maybe the cleanest way to work. We had to ask not 2 times, but three, for our drinks. There was other way with long hair. He didn’t seem to know quite well what he was doing. Walking one place to the other but not bringing dishes to anyone. Last guy was the bartender, which came like 2 hours late (diner was done)… with our drinks! That we ordered when we sat at first place! Not to mention the guys from the kitchen, going in and out the place the entire time outside in their working clothes with their gloves on, which supposedly manipulates the food we eat. There were even moments when the 4 guys working in the restaurant were talking at the back, near the kitchen, leaving the place unattended. Sorry, but this place is not worth the visit. There are tons of places in Den...
