A small and cozy restaurant. Outside is a nice terras along the canal. The wines in this place are all organic wines with the special taste that comes with that. A bottle of water is added yo the table without asking. The dishes are small, they use the shared dining concept. Three dishes is more than enough for one person. The diversity of the choices is good. There are a lot of vegetarian options, beautiful fish dishes and interesting meat choices. The taste is very, very good. The prices are also very friendly for the quality. The food experience is basically very good, almost exciting. It is a place where you want to come back to taste the other items on the menu. But I still saved the best for last. The way you are treated, with a very friendly and caring attitude creates a relaxed ambiance where it is hard to part from. This is a place you immediately wants to be a well know regular (as if a better treatment is possible!?). So I also wants to be back, soon, very soon....
There is only one small strange thing. How is it possible that I didn't find this place earlier? I think that the answer is that there is no menu published outside. So part of the treasures of this place stay hidden for the people that walk by. I only discovered it by having a very late desert at the waterside...
Read morewould be great if they had more than two people in the kitchen. food was fine, but the main course arrived so late after the starters that i wasn't eating for taste anymore. i was eating out of hunger. we had two waiters at our table, one nice and the other a bit more irked that we mentioned the long wait. i don't think it was rude on our part to mention that we had been waiting on our food for longer than usual.. i understand they're a "chill" joint nothing super fancy but it's a bit odd to sit for upwards of 30 minutes for a plate of gnocchi and a pork tenderloin which i would've guessed they wouldn't be so hard to make if they're some minimal prep beforehand to streamline cooking during service. most of my time at the table was spent glaring at the kitchen, seeing if they were working on our food that felt forgotten at one point. the food was being served in an odd order around the restaurant, people that came after us having their food a lot earlier than we did (same dishes or comparable in...
Read moreWe’ve had dinner with 4 girls in this restaurant. There is not a lot of choice, but the food is good. Although the price vs quality is not in balance.
The biggest disappointment of this evening was the service and the quality of the wines. After a bad choice of white wine, we asked one of the waitresses for a suggestion based on a 40eu bottle. She suggested a few wines really quickly with a strong Spanish accent and ‘forgot’ to mention that she suggested us the most expensive bottle on the list. Twice the price of the bottle we initially discussed. The name of this wine is not on the bottle, so we didn’t knew what was served. All four of us are sure that she pointed out another bottle on the wine list. We believe that she should have said something about serving such an expensive bottle. We understand that it is a bit late to discuss this after the bill is presented, but the waitress did not listen to our...
