I went there for lunch. First impression I was like what the hell?! First time and expected a fine restaurant like lunchroom where I could have a business lunch with my colleague. Not ending up in some kind of a library..However while walking towards this place I was like uhmmm if this place is nothing we will go somewhere else nearby, since I booked it randomly online based on our location. Inside the library on the left side there was the restaurant, very chic modern design not what you expect of a library. This was Thursday 1st of October at 2pm. After picking the dishes of the day (pre course and main) I was BLOWN away!!! It was the perfect pick, the goat cheese sandwich with vegetables was just freaking DELICIOUS. And the Mais soup was great too aka perfect combo👌 I am definitely going to refer this modern chic libaryish restaurant! Very unwelcoming owner (or waiter). He was clearly annoyed by the fact that we only wanted to have a drink, even though there were plenty of empty tables, and kept taking the drink menu from our hands without any good reason, just to place it back on the table, so that we could not even properly decide what to drink. The other waitresses seemed nice and friendly, but because of this very unwelcoming guy we are definitely not going back, even though we live in the neighborhood and often go out for a drink...

Ik zat met een vriendin op het terras, en we hadden net de twee Aperol Spritz gekregen die we besteld hadden. De bedrijfsleider had het bord met de dagspecialiteiten op onze tafel gezet, omdat we ook wat te eten wilde bestellen. Één windvlaag verder, en het bord klapte omver, waardoor onze (nog niet van gedronken) Aperol over ons heen viel. Mijn nieuwe, witte broek was doorweekt en ook m’n vriendin haar jurk zat helemaal onder. Telefoon, tas, alles nat. Kan gebeuren, natuurlijk. Het was niemand’s ‘schuld’, gezien we nu eenmaal geen invloed hebben op de wind ;) Mijn 1 ster review komt voort uit hoe het personeel (met name de bedrijfsleider) met ons omging nadat dit gebeurde. We werden in eerste instantie genegeerd en er kwam niemand naar ons toe om te helpen, terwijl het wel gezien was. Pas nadat wij al een tijdje een beetje klungelig om ons heen stonden te kijken in onze natte kleding en probeerden met servetjes het een en ander op te ruimen, kwam iemand naar ons toe. Wij wilden terug naar huis om van kleding te wisselen, maar moesten wel nog even betalen. Ik vroeg of we niet iets konden regelen - misschien splitten - omdat het eigenlijk niemands schuld was en onze avond eigenlijk wel zo goed als kapot was. Ze ging het vragen aan de bedrijfsleiding, en kwam terug met het nieuws dat we gewoon moesten betalen. Ik kwam hier vaker met mijn ouders eten, maar wij komen zeker niet meer terug.
