De Jans Bar — Restaurant in Utrecht

I just had one of the most unreasonable experiences of my life. I was holding a small backpack while on the club. First security guard comes and asks me to put it in the wardrobe. I explain my ID, wallet and phone are there and I can't leave them in the wardrobe. I am using my backpack as my handbag. He understands, nods and goes away. 15 minutes later, another security guard comes by and tells me I must put my backpack in the wardrobe. He wouldn't listen to reasons. I was pushed from the middle of the nightclub all the way outside by a man who would just simply NOT LISTEN. He was violent and impossible to communicate with. Security staff are supposed to be there to make sure everyone at the club is safe. My tiny backpack was surely not a hazard or security risk to anyone and it was surely smaller than most handbags that are used nowadays. After being pushed outside by this man, who surely didn't have my wellbeing in mind, and just wanted to show off his power to keep people in or out, I decided to walk away. I'm never...

Insanely bad experience. My girlfriend had some issues while paying to hang her clothes and the worker started pressuring her and eventually insulting her. At that point I took over and he started insulting me as well, completely out of nowhere. We then decided to take our clothes back to leave this ridiculously horrible place and one of the guards started to push us out because we still had jackets with us. Trying to explain the situation only resulted in the guard getting even more irritated and even violent. It's ridiculous that people like this are allowed to behave in such a disrespectful, unprofessional and offensive way to some costumers that just arrived. I sincerely hope the worst to this club, the workers and the probably brain less owner carrying on this embarrassing club, if even it could be...

Offensive place. The security staff are aggressive. They took my drink before I finished it and when I asked it back they rudely argued that I don't have much inside (!).. I witnessed racist behavior from the staff. Then they asked one (black) if matters) person not to wear athletic outfit while all white folks were wearing exactly the same outfits. The security took our chairs by force (with force from my hand!!) while initially the waitress in the entrance had told us that chairs behind the bar will not be removed. While we were inside for some hours suddenly they forced us to to take our jackets to the wardrobe (to pay).
