Italiaans restaurant Piero’s — Restaurant in Utrecht

Used to really like the place but as of late, their service has let me down. First off, their pizza and cocktails are really good. They have a nice terrace space as well.

Second last time I went, we were seated 30 mins after our booking time and forced to wait in the hot sun. at this time there was the 8 pm curfew. We got our food at 8.10 pm and were forced to take it away. I had the Tartufo pasta and it was really bland, almost tasteless.

Last time, again I waited over 45 minutes for my appetiser. After we had our meal, I ordered a dessert and a lasagne to go. Soon after we asked for the bill, we waited over 45 minutes. After going in to ask the server, he asked me how things were and I said service was a little slow. He replied “yea but you didn’t tell me when you wanted the lasagne etc” and tried to blame me. I personally thought the request for the bill was self explanatory.

I will not be returning for a while. They are clearly short on staff. But the last interaction really threw me off. I can get just as good pizza and cocktails from multiple other places in Utrecht with better,...

Was looking for an Italian restaurant and decided to opt for this place as it was just outside the city centre. Rating looked good and decided to give it a go. Service and personnel: 8.5/10. Very good and friendly, time for a chat always make the customer at ease. Had the antipasto misto to share: 5/10. The price is too high for the selection of food provide, no grilled vegetables, 3 meats , rucola salad with dried tomatoes and some ricotta and bruschetta. Small portion and over priced considering it was to share. Taste was fine but lacked imagination. Toasted bread iso of chiabatta ? Spaghetti alla vongele as a side dish :6/10. Too expensive for a small portion of pasta with baby clams, clams were fresh, pasta good correctly but a bit too salty for my flavour but at 21€ on the steep side considering the portion side and then served on a flat plate?! The pizza’s were of high quality except for the fact the bottom of the pizza would stick to the cardboard box because of how thin it got in the middle, nothing too major though… I did have trouble finding something that I could broaden my pallet with that didn’t have pork… if you like chicken on your pizza or if you’re overall a picky eater it’s hard to choose what you want as there was no way to modify any of the pizzas as far as I’m aware… another part that everyone at the dinner table agreed on was that the pizzas were VERY salty, if you’re into that then these pizzas are great but if you’re trying to have less salt in your diet maybe consider not getting one of their pizzas… The pizzas were finished on time and I’ve had a good experience in general other than the...
