We visited this place last Friday. The atmosphere was great as it was super busy and vibrant. Dj on, it sounded very promising. We went for 6 dishes per person (30.95 P.P). For the first round, we had THAI DON YUM SOUP, PEKING DUCK CRÊPES & DUCK BREAST. The soup was below average, we ate the prawns and left the rest. The duck breast was ok, nothing spectacular. Although the pecking duck crepes were really delicious, loved this dish and we seriously considered ordering it again during our 3 rounds meal. For the second round, we ordered CRISPY PORK, KICKASS KOREAN BEEF, JONES’ BEEF RENDANG and CRISPY MANGO SALAD. Again, crispy pork was super delicious but this salad and Korean beef were just so average.I was really excited to try rendang but it was just lukewarm/ almost cold, quality of pork was ok and it didn't taste of much. Finally, we had our 3rd and last round and we hoped to have more luck with the dishes. We got LOUISIANA FRIES, BANGKOK BALLS, SHANGHAI SATAY & ROASTED PORK BELLY. The pork belly was really good(crispy and fat was rendered well), chicken satay was ok but it tasted like something you can make at home. Didn't blow our minds. The Bangkok balls were weird, just bite one of them and texture was not really agreeing with me...and fries...I mean if you serve fries you really should salt them...I asked for salt, waited 10 minutes and when someone finally appeared, they got us a bit of table salt on a little plate, apparently, they don't have any salt shakers for the clients. I mean ok, not a bit deal you don't have a salt shaker, but this makes me thinkthat the restaurant thinks they are so good their food doesn't need to be adjusted at the serving. Generally, ok visit, service was nice and fast. The restaurant looks nice too. In terms of quality of actual ingredients (chicken, beef) I don't think was high quality...It was good to try but I don't think we...
Read moreI recently had a a very nice dining experience at Mr. Miyagi. I met with friends from all over Europe, a group of 13 in total. Despite booking a month in advance, they accommodated our reservation without a hitch, and even welcomed an additional friend who joined us last-minute.
We ordered our meals via tablet, and the dishes were served in smaller portions, ensuring they were fresh and allowing us to reorder as we wished. This setup was perfect, enabling everyone to choose their dining pace. The staff were excellent in explaining the system to our entire group with a lot of patience.
The food? Exceptional. Not only was it delicious and value for money, but the entire staff was also fluent and professional in English, ensuring seamless communication throughout our dinner. Their drinks and cocktails, especially the Pink Damrak gin cocktail, were a highlight for me. My personal favorite dish was the salmon crunchy tacos.
My vegan friends highly reccomend the following dishes. The "Buddha gyoza" without butter, "mushroom maniac", and "tofu trouble".
The spacious setting meant our large group was comfortably accommodated, with room to spare.
In conclusion, if you're a fan of Asian cuisine, sushi, gyozas, and more, I can highly recommend Mr. Miyagi.

Read moreFrom very friendly yet not intrusive staff, to clean and modern tablet ordering devices, to exquisitely presented (if at times overpriced) cocktails and colorful dishes with an eye for presentation, this place is a pleasure to visit. I always think of it when a special occasion comes up. While a few of their dishes are honestly underwhelming, I can recommend the ones that I keep coming back for: duck breast, salmon filet, seared caramelized beef. If you like vegetarian options, there are dishes like the lovely sweet potato fries, Louisiana fries, spicy macho nacho, tempura cauliflower, and the mango macaron. All their deserts are nice, but the macaron is something else. Seldom am I tempted away from chocolate or a caramel cheesecake.
Their knowledge of both English and Dutch seems impeccable, so it's a pleasure to interact with the staff. Much as with Het Zusje locations, I love the atmosphere anytime they aren't too busy and loud, leading me to check the restaurant forecast on Google and visit on quiet days and hours. This is the sort of restaurant that's an experience, and the 3-course menu is the deal we always take because...
