Pub 13-i — Restaurant in Valkenburg aan de Geul

Very bad service. We had a bad time. We sat outside as it was too crowded inside for our party of six. The waitress arrived about 15 minutes after we arrived, which was pretty late in our opinions. She was difficult to understand, and did not clearly state what she wanted from us. So she left again, and then we still had to wait several minutes to actually order. Once we ordered, we sat there for about 25 minutes before we got some cutlery and then we waited a little longer before asking how much longer it would take. We were somewhat in a hurry, so it would be nice to at least get it in the next few minutes. She replied 'Then you shouldn't have come here anyways'. And so we left. We had at least already waited 45 minutes without getting anything. Yes, we were with a somewhat larger group, and yes it was busy everywhere; but waiting that long without any clarification...

Actually popped in here to hide from the rain and watch the Final of the French open tennis. Ended up eating and drinking coffee ( would have had a beer but driving!) We had seen it the night before and it was banging with lively activity.

Barman was great at giving up his time in advice. Personally, I loved the music vibe so can only imagine what the Netherlands football matches would be like!!

Fantastic bar / pub selling a huge range of special beers & ales. Great service & really good prices compared to bars around them. Seating outside. Bar staff are talkative & it's nice they engage in conversation. TV screens with a mix of sport but sound is down as conversation & music is the priority. Great place, perfectly situated. Our 2nd time back here. Definitely worth a visit. You won't be...
