I recently visited Dinercafé Amadeus in Valkenburg and had a great experience. The atmosphere of the cafe was awesome, with a cozy and welcoming vibe. The staff were all very friendly and provided fast service, which was much appreciated given that the cafe was busy.
One of the things that stood out to me about Dinercafé Amadeus was the great drink options. There was a wide range of beverages to choose from, including coffee, tea, and various alcoholic beverages. The food was also tasty and there was a good selection of options to choose from.
One thing that I really appreciated was the cleanliness of the toilet. It was clear that the cafe takes pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, which added to the overall enjoyment of my visit.

We tried the traditional Dutch pea soup and an apple pancake — both were fresh, tasty, and nicely portioned. The menu has a great variety: sandwiches, soups, salads, meat and fish dishes, pancakes, and local desserts like Limburgse vlaai. Vegetarian options are available too.
The staff were super friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome. Service was quick and smooth.
A small downside: some extras (like bread or sauces) might be charged separately, and there have been occasional comments about pricing or minor service delays — but we didn’t experience any issues ourselves.
📍 Tip: Try the 4-course menu if you’re hungry — it’s a great deal with generous portions and local flavor.

When we came into the restaurant there wasn't enough room to sit for all of us. The main waitress had 3 of us stand for 10 minutes before bringing chairs from upstairs even though there were empty seats right next to us (she explicitly said we cannot use them). When we ordered the bill, there was an additional charge for Ketchup and Mayo even though none of us ordered them.
The main waitress was extremely unpleasant to deal with. The rest of the staff was fine.
The place is extremely overpriced and the food is...
